We sent you a letter on February, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Interview scheduled for March 15, 2015. (I did the interview on March 2015)
We sent you medical instructions on June 24, 2015. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us - ( I did the Medicals on 7th of July 2015).

Please what is next ? how long will it take to go?

Hi,

No one can tell you exactly how long it would take for next steps. There are some on this thread that are waiting as long as you are since their re-med. Have you ordered GCMS notes? Maybe that is a good start. You could send a case specific inquiry to find out more.

Here are the links.

If someone could update the spreadsheet please - my status changed from 'In Process' to 'Decision Made' on last Friday, October 2nd.

Less than a week processing - mental!

As I'm an Irish passport holder, I'm guessing I'll be getting the COPR in next couple of weeks. With a bit of luck, the current Irish postal strike won't delay it too much.

Glad to see others are seeing progress too!

Spreadsheet updated, congrats!

I notice that you did your medical on 25th September 2014, and your DM came after that, did CIC ask you to redo it, or extend it?

It has been exactly a year today since Mississauga received our application. :-\ :-X :-[ ??? >:(

It has been 381 days for me, but every day that goes by we get closer warzo! It still hurts when I see other people's applications getting approved in timelines 100 days+ less than mine but our time will come!

The closer it gets to Christmas the more it will become the best Christmas present ever!

That's the odd thing - we received no correspondence about the medical from them, just the DM.

I did proactively email them and said that I knew my medicals were up shortly, listed the countries I'd been to since I did it (all in EU), and stated I hadn't been ill. Then ping, 'In Process' and 'Decision Made' right afterwards. I'm assuming they've just gone ahead and extended the medical for a few months (hoping it'll be six or so).

Hey guys, I have one more question.

My COPR is in Canada. I'm in Korea and I'm flying to Canada in December. Then, I'm going to land probably at Niagara.

I'm booking a one way ticket. I'm also connecting through Vancouver. Has anyone any experience with this? I'm worried that I'll get stopped from flying on a one way ticket.

When I get to customs in Vancouver, do I just tell them exactly what I'm doing? What proof do I need? Should I get my documents scanned and sent to me?

It depends on your passport. Airlines have a reference called 'TIMATIC' which will tell them visa and ticketing requirements according to passport presented.
For example, as a British Passport holder, you do not need a visa for travel, but you would need to present a return ticket, UNLESS you have provide proof of status in Canada ie: work permit, study permit, PR card...if the airline was to send you and you were to be refused entry, the airline is liable for hefty penalty charges, which is why they care. Your issue would be with the airline letting you travel on a 1 way ticket in the first instance.

I worked for a major airline for over 15 years and if I had a check in agent who had a passenger present themselves for check in with a one way ticket, without the proof that they would be allowed into Canada and without a return ticket.... I would have refused that passenger travel.

I would get a copy of your COPR sent to you, I would have accepted that, had I been shown that... but that's down to my discretion as it would not be the actual physical legal document in my hand.

To be sure, I would advise purchasing a fully refundable ticket back, and then cash it in, when you are here.

Thanks warzo, added. I am just going to look at mhum's posts to see which docs were requested, but the rest have been added.

Edit: I already had the info for mhum.

You should be fine. My partner travelled from the UK on a one-way ticket without issue. The airlines generally aren't too bothered about a return ticket when the person is visa-exempt.

When you enter Canada, you can tell CBSA what you are doing. You don't need any proof or to have your documents scanned to you; they will be able to see the status of your PR app in their system.

Thank you . I hope so to. I really don't want to have to go through the hassle of extending his visitors visa .
