It makes zero sense how they work things at the London Office. I would love to spend a day there and see how they choose which applications are to be worked on that day. Mine just seemed to sit for months on end without being worked on and i had zero red flags, so there's no reason it should have taken so long. It also puts a bitter taste in your mouth having to pay for another medical due to how long they took to process it.

If I am requested to do another medical I am going to contest it! We know that they have the power to extend them so when they fail to process our applications within a year why should we fork out another $300 odd?

However, medicals needing extended does not bother me as much as the complete lottery of which applications are processed first. How an applicant who applied in January 2015 can be approved before applicants who applied in January,February 2014 is beyond me.

Cost me $550 for another medical :(.

I came back to Canada at the end of May thinking I would have approval within a month or so. It's now September and I've gone through a lot of my savings due to waiting so long. They seem to think we're made of money.

I feel the same as you about it, I saw a mass of people getting approved who applied long after I did. Makes no sense; I have zero criminality issues, zero medical issues, my wife and I are only 2 years apart age wise and we met over 12 years ago. I had also been to Canada about 5 times before I applied and she has been to Scotland to.

Ive been in process since 6th October 2014 >:(

I do not understand the way CIC are working and I agree with you all on this forum. It does seem much of a lottery. its only last week I finally received something from London and that was another police check certificate and an updated form background form.

I came back to England just this week to spend a bit of time with my parents and going back in a few weeks, I really hope I hear something before I go back but I am pretty sure I wont :(. I dont think I will be able to take it if they ask for another set of medicals after all this.

Well for an April 2014 applicant i am pretty pissed off . They lost part of the application in April so i didn't get SA till August They then requested the same documents that i sent them but that was a clinch in the system but before i knew this i had sent them the third time. They lost my Husbands divorce papers which i had to send again and again and someone put in the wrong date of my step son's birthday so they thought we were hiding him trying to pull one over on them so had to send a birth certificate for a 28 year old .

It has been one F*** UP AFTER ANOTHER. Ticked off today . Been in process since July 17th when they requested a new medical .

Why can't London office be like http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/june-2015-outland-applications-t298674.0.html;msg4656115#msg4656115

I have been in process for 2.5 weeks (7th September) and my medical expired on the 30th August. So far no word from London, meanwhile there are applications in December 2014 and January 2015 which have been approved.

I was in process for almost 9 weeks before it changed to ''Decision made'' it's insane what is happening can't understand that at all!!

2014 applicants have had a brutal go of it. One thing after another ... It's one thing dealing with CIC screw ups, but then there was the back log from Islamabad, watching cic posted timeline almost triple, the unfairness of application being vetted in Mississauga and Ottawa (like winning the freaking lottery), the unexplained Remeds when others get extended, and watching 2015 application move forward before 2014 has been cleared!!! Mind boggling, stressful, and f***g unfair!!!

Only 3 months left of 2015, COME ON LONDON FFS!!!

When we were thinking of applying last year, we were in central London one day we decided on a long shot to go to the LVO to see if there was any info we could get from them about applying etc. Turned out that Canada house was having a massive re-furb and the whole place was a building site, they had moved the visa office to another building. I wonder if this move has anything to do with all the missing forms etc from the 2014 applicants? Seems like you guys have been messed around ALOT. I hope that London gets back on track and all you 2014 applicants that have been waiting too long get some good news soon.

Me and my wife have been apart for too long now and its really starting to get to us. I cant imagine how we are going to do this if it takes another year!

Looking for some help for someone that has landed in Canada. Were you given or a record of landing document or did the visa officer just complete your COPR with the landing details?

When i landed 30 years ago i had a record of landing.. don't know about today .

They fill out and sign both copies of COPR. They give you back one and they send off the other with the photo to CIC. They also stamp your passport. PR card should arrive a few months later to the address on your COPR.

Awesome, thank you. That's what they did with mine. Just wanted to check to make sure :)

In process as of today! (not that it seems to mean much these days but it's something!)

"In Process" since 10 Aug, but still no word. We had our re-med about four months back. The surprising element from LVO is some Feb/Mar 2015 applicants have gotten approvals.
