Please can I be added to the spreadsheet. I find this forum really useful. Hopefully I have provided all the information below. Thanks!

- Date application received in Mississauga - March 16 2015
-Whether you applied as Married or Common-Law - Common Law
-Date of sponsor approval - May 1st 2015
-Which office is processing Phase 2 of your application (will say on your sponsor approval letter/email) - Ottawa
-Date(s) of any other requests you've had - Nil
-Whether or not the principal applicant is non-visa exempt - UK - visa-exempt
-Current location of the principal applicant- closest major city is fine if you don't want to be too specific - Toronto

I do have a quick question as well.

When checking online, the Sponsorship Application Status says Decision Made and under it says:

We received your application on X
We started processing your application on X.
We sent you correspondence on X about the decision on your application.

However, the Permanent Residence Application says Application received and under it says:

We received your application on X.

But nothing else. A lot of people seem to say medical received or in process. Is this common? Do I just wait until it says 'in process' and as many people on this forum say, it will move along more quickly from there.

Thank you

My application is also being processed in Ottawa and I am only a month behind you. I also have nothing other than application received and no mention of medical. I have sent a CSE but heard nothing back yet... Hopefully they just aren't great at updating ECAS and they have our medical results.

Looks like you just have to wait it out . They often don't response to emails and if you look at the spreadshett many of us as in process but no decision made .

We went 'IN PROCESS' today!! It says from 7th May, but I checked yesterday to see if they had updated anything after my CSE and it still said 'application received' and when I checked again today it had changed. But sadly still no response to my CSE.

Spreadsheet updated.

Hi All,

I'm almost in the process to send my application off. (Yay! I've been out of canada for almost 12 years and can't wait to return home!) It looks like I have to post it to Mississauga, Ontario first. How did you do this? Can you send it special delivery signed for from the uk to Canada through royal mail? Or did you use a different courier?

Royal Mail will do it, just go to the post office and say you want to send it to Canada by registered post and signed for on delivery, tracked ALLT HE WAY (there's one shipping option that only tracks it to the border, you don't want that!).

It'll cost a lot - mine cost I think 57quid when I sent it off back in 2012. But it's worth it for the peace of mind that it actually arrives! I think H Campbell signed for mine. :P

Does anyone know how long it takes for ppr after paying rprf fee. I did not pay my rprf and the decsion is made. I Have seen on the timeline that you get rprf request then decision made.Did any one else pay rprf fee after decision made?

I used DHL. Was able to send it from one of their service points at my nearest Homebase and 'only' cost £30.

Tracked all the way there as standard and they send you a receipt including the signature of who signed for it in Mississauga.

I've used a number of couriers to deliver in Canada and Royal Mail are the best. 'Track and Trace' means you can check your item's progress at every stage until delivery. It might not be the cheapest option (?) but you get what you pay for in my opinion.

I used Royal Mail International Tracking.

I actually didn't use the signature on delivery option as the address for Mississauga was a PO Box. Because of this I wasn't sure if there would be someone to sign for it. It does sound that others have sent it requiring signature on delivery so I probably didn't need to worry. The tracking is great and there is nothing like knowing that it has arrived safely.

I was just sent in the mail all of the forms (Sponsor application and other stuff) that I sent to them months ago. Is this supposed to happen? They didnt send any offical documentation expalining why they sent all our forms back.

Thanks! I feel better to know others are in the same position. Let me know if you hear back from your CSE.

Have gone "in process" today - says they started processing on 22May this year

I looked at the faq but didnt see or missed the answer to this.

We went decision made. We didn't have a passport request. Is this normal? I'm Irish. Do I have to send my passport or a copy? Also, what would the normal lag be between decision made on ecas and a request?

edit: also is passport request by mail or email?

All official. Flagpoled yesterday at North Portal Sask. No problems at all, all done in around 20 mins. I had pre-filled in a B4 form for my goods to follow which made the CBSA happy.
