All official. Flagpoled yesterday at North Portal Sask. No problems at all, all done in around 20 mins. I had pre-filled in a B4 form for my goods to follow which made the CBSA happy.

We went decision made. We didn't have a passport request. Is this normal? I'm Irish. Do I have to send my passport or a copy? Also, what would the normal lag be between decision made on ecas and a request?

edit: also is passport request by mail or email?

You are visa-exempt and therefore will not receive a passport request.

I was just sent in the mail all of the forms (Sponsor application and other stuff) that I sent to them months ago. Is this supposed to happen? They didnt send any offical documentation expalining why they sent all our forms back.

I would say that this shouldn't happen. There are many places in the instructions for filling out the forms that suggest if the application is incomplete the will return your application. Or if signatures are missing. I would start with the document checklist to make sure everything was sent.

I would also check to make sure your forms was the latest version when you sent them in .

I have just read on Brit Expat of someone who had only their supporting evidence of their relationship returned but no forms. Who knows with CIC. Hope this is just a new thing and not indicating any bad news for you.

It is odd to receive your complete application package back especially since you received Decision Made on September 8th and you also had a request for passport copy and bio page update. Hopefully it was simply an error and you receive your COPR soon. Wishing you the best and keep us posted.

Emmz28 over on British Expats had something similar happen. CIC returned her photos, plane tickets, emails etc and also the photocopies of stamps in her passport.

CIC did not return her application, police certificates or medical though.

Another update guys, Just when i was thinking that Decision will be made, suddenly I received an email from LVO requesting for a 2nd medical ( repeat ).
I haven't seen hubby for over six months now and am missing him. Love across the ocean!

Hey guys so am not sure if London has looked at my file or not, my permanent residence application ecas still says application received, however they just updated a line on my sponsorship portion that was never there before even though a letter went out in May, they added " Dependants on this application are...... Insert name . Does that mean London has taken a quick peak at my file and set it aside again? Anyone might know ?
