i think he was referring to the fact that the June 2015 applicants, like me, went directly from sponsor DM to applicant In Process within days on ECAS.. literally, my application was received June 4, i got my DM on August 5, and on August 6 the applicant portion changed to In Process. in fact, it changed to In Process before i even received my official SA email. does that mean our applications are going to go through quicker than applications who waited longer for In Process to appear? who knows.. but there are a lot of us June 2015 applicants who are seeing In Process on ECAS.

I'm pretty sure they meant the 10+ 2014 applicants that went into process over the last 4 weeks (if you looked back a few pages you would see that London is moving). I am willing to guess that your application actually stayed in Mississauga and you've hit the jackpot of this application lottery.

sorry to ask a question that may have already been discussed, but with 1900+ pages of awesome information in this thread, there's no way i could find this answer! :)

what is the criteria for PPR vs PP exempt? my husband is from Scotland - is he likely to have PPR?

you have confused me never mind you ... ppr v pp ... if he is from Scotland he is visa exempt but i don't know what you mean by ppr and pp

hahah sorry, i'm still getting the hang of the abbreviations ;) passport request vs exempt from passport request.. or is that a thing? i may have misunderstood and gotten exempt from passport request confused with visa-exempt..? but basically i'm asking if he is likely to have his passport requested during the application process or if they don't do that with British applicants.

No they don't do that with British passports . Some Ottawa applicants where asked to sumit a copy of there passport if they were to be in Canada over 3 months and two recent photos. Cic IS ALL OVER THE PLACE BUT GENERAL RULE THEY DON'T ASK .. :)

Hello everyone. I just wanted to pass on an update since receiving COPR. I moved to Canada in early June and have been living in London Ontario. I have got a job and am making the most of the summer having been reunited with my partner.

The landing process went very smoothly. I got off the flight at Toronto and went to security as usual. I mention to the security guy that I had to land as a permanent resident and after going through all the usual security stuff I was sent to a room to 'land'.

I went on and after a brief wait a very helpful lady went through the basics, checked through my documents and applied for my PR card (Which 10 weeks later i am still waiting for).

I have to say that the week I landed was spent getting drivers license, bank account, SIN and registering for health care, but it really was a smooth ride.

The hardest part about the whole process was saying goodbye to my family in England.

Good luck to everyone who is waiting patiently. It really is worth the wait!!

Hi everyone.

I got email yesterday from LVO.

1st paragraph, they notified me that my medical will expire on 19-9-2015

2nd they told that they have procedure to reassess current medical results and determine extension of your medical, therefore, please provide following

- Countries visited or residence since the date of original medical, including all business/any trips, holidays/vacations or stop overs of any duration.
- Details of illness, however minor or temporary since medical date.

after reassessment if extension is not granted then repeat medical instructions will be sent.

please suggest/comment on following response I'm thinking about

Reply A:
Can simply reply email/attach pdf cover letter, to let them know that I neither visited any country nor any medical illness since the original medical?

Reply B:
email/cover letter + plus pdf attachment of my all passport pages as evidence of no visit?

C: please share your experience if anyone replied to such email? that I may follow

@ Andrew-brit / Snook: please update spreadsheet as well beside your suggestions on above.

We received the same email this morning, this is at bottom of the letter:

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The subject line of this email and the initials therein are essential to avoid delays in processing requests and responses. Please include these initials in all future correspondence with us. For email communication, please use the “Reply to Sender” option of your email software which will keep the subject line intact in your response. For postal communication, please include these initials on the envelope, and highlight prominently on the cover letter.

We just followed the instructions and replied to the email itself. Hope this helps! :)

is it possible it's stayed in Mississauga but i was told London? that would be awesome, but the letter i got giving me SA says London, so i don't want to get my hopes up! and yes, i do see that London is moving - i'm watching both the thread and the spreadsheet like a hawk ;) but i'm also on the June 2015 board, and i am not the only June applicant to already have In Process on ECAS.. in fact, there are so many that changed the first week of August that we were thinking ECAS was glitching! but i called CIC to check and was told nope, everything was fine with the site.. so as it stands, we're officially In Process, but like i said, i don't know if that means we'll have speedier answers, or if we'll just be In Process much longer than those who sat in AOR2 for the majority of their waiting.

Are the other people reporting in process a London applicant? There is only one user on the London spreadsheet who is in process from June 2015 (you) so if they are being processed at another visa office this has no bearing on London.

ah, gotcha.. yeah, so far there is only Sarim and me who are at LVO from June, and we are both In Process. there are a few coming up from the end of June so we'll see what happens when they get SA.

BritishBob, I wish you good luck

Update. I sent an email to LVO regarding the birth of my daughter about 6 weeks ago and they asked me to send a scanned copy of her birth certificate to them. They also said that family class applications involving children are processed as priority. Yesterday, I received an email from my vo giving me 30 days to update Mississauga and also to provide updated IMM0008 and IMM5406 forms to expedite further processing.

I am spending the weekend in London, just arrived actually. Do you think I should pay LVO a visit and have a word with them?
