Received my notes today :( nothing changed since March . I so just want to give up today.

I don't understand how so many or out applications are still sitting there and nothing is getting done with them. We contacted out MP last week and are hoping for an update soon. Most likely it will be a generic response with nothing useful, but we live in hope.

Nothing has really been done to ours since January and we're coming up for a year! If it continues like this people are soon gonna be waiting well over a year for COPR. It's just getting crazy now.

Hi All. I have recently just joined this forum and can I say that I have learned more from reading your posts than anything I have learned from the CIC website! I would like to be added to the spreadsheet as we have found this so helpful, in that at least we know approximately where we stand in the queue, although form the looks of it London is only processing 4 applications per month so instead of Oct/Nov of this year, it would appear we wont hear anything until well into 2016. Very depressing but its nice to know we are not alone.

My info for the spreadsheet is:
Date application received in Mississauga. 30 December 2014
Whether you applied as Married or Common-Law: Common Law
Date of sponsor approval: 17 March 2015
Which office is processing Phase 2 of your application (will say on your sponsor approval letter/email) London
Date(s) of any other requests you've had: Medicals requested in April 2015 but they had already been received.
Whether or not the principal applicant is non-visa exempt: Non-visa exempt
Current location of the principal applicant- closest major city is fine if you don't want to be too specific! Vancouver

Yeah it's annoying, everyone has been whining about this the last few weeks/months. Not sure what to tell you. We don't know why some applications go to London and some go to Mississauga. We do know it's happening to HELP London's work load. Your app was received in October so I'm going to guess you still have a few months to wait. However there is nothing to stop the non-Canadian from waiting in Canada as a visitor, or the Canadian from being in the UK either. Don't froget Canada is pretty much the only country that gets you straight to PR if you married a Canadian within about a year, and if you wanted to be able to work faster then you did have the option of applying inland and getting a work permit after 4 months. I know it probably doesn't help much but the waiting game is the waiting game and yeah it's annoying but you do have options ot be together. Good luck!

Thank you. Unfortunately the option for a work permit came after we had applied or we definitely would have gone for that Inland option. I guess we just wait. Financially it's too much of a strain to keep visiting each other while living in two of the most expensive cities but they are home and so we will just wait. Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Do you want to be added to the spreadsheet? It's a great way to say thanks for the advice you receive on here and we always appreciate having more data as it makes the spreadsheet more accurate. If so then I need to know wher eyou're living, then I can get yo uadded as you've provided everything else. As for contacting London, send both an email and a cas-especific enquiry, instructions for both are in the FAQ linked in my signature. They often reply way faster than 30 days.

Not certain on this one as most applicants on the spreadsheet are visa-exempt, all i can say is check the Notes column for non-visa applicants on the spreadsheet and see if that gives any idea. I wouldn't want to guess because I'd be just guessing.

I may have gotten one of the questions for the spreadsheet ass backward. My common law is British so is he visa exempt or non visa exempt?...wasn't entirely clear which is which?

Thanks, I added you. Did you tell CIC that you included your medical info sheet with the original application or send a copy of it?

Visa exempt = you are exempt from requiring a visa to enter Canada.

Has anyone experienced A BLANK BOX WHEN CHECKING PASSPORT STATUS ON VFS????

Hello all - I'm very happy to report DECISION MADE this morning. Finally! A week shy of 15 months it's been a long wait.

Here's hoping for a speedy COPR delivery so I don't go crazy waiting for that.

It looks like my medical was extended automatically. I had no correspondence from London the whole way through (aside from responses to my enquiries).

Thank you for all the words of support. It certainly is a big relief.

I'll definitely report back when COPR arrives. I'm also curious to find out if I'll have a conditional PR or not... We were together for 4 years, but married a little under 2 when I applied, and the guide is slightly unclear on how it will apply in this case.

Not that it really matters in my case, but it's always interesting to try and understand the mysteries of CIC :)
