Hi, I've been reading the forum for advice for some time now (whilst I was preparing my application) but never got around to posting my details. Kindly add me to the master spreadsheet. As a spreadsheet aficionado, I have to compliment whoever designed it, well done!

-Date application received in Mississauga: 02/04/2015
-Whether you applied as Married or Common-Law: Married
-Date of sponsor approval: TBC
-Which office is processing Phase 2 of your application (will say on your sponsor approval letter/email): TBC
-Date(s) of any other requests you've had: N/A
-Whether or not the principal applicant is non-visa exempt: No
-Current location of the principal applicant- closest major city is fine if you don't want to be too specific!: London, UK

Thanks!

Does London do AOR 2's at all or just straight to business with them?

London does not issue AOR. Nor do they get straight to business!

In other news my visitor record was just extended. I applied March 23rd and today my application was updated. MyCIC says my application has been approved however the new record will be mailed out to me. Unfortunately I am probably going to the UK at the end of the month for 2-3 months while I wait for PR.

Hey Andrewbrit!

Glad to hear you got your extension on your visitor record since we applied a bit ago for my partner. Sorry your application is taking so long!

In other news, I just got access to ECAS! They said they started processing my application (sponsorship) last monday the 11th, and that they had recieved the PR application and the medical.

Needless to say, we're getting excited to see some action, albeit wringing our hands and praying "notlondon notlondon notlondon". :-\

Yeah that's how my wife was too, she was gutted it didn't remain in Mississauga and moved to London. Was praying to be one of the lucky ones. I was bummed as well. It is what it is, and gotta live with it I guess :)

Hi,

A question..
If the baby is born outside canada (if one spouse is citizen while the other is PR), will the baby be canadian or no?
also parent is not a citizen of Canada by birth.

If the Canadian parent is a naturalized citizen, then the child will be Canadian.

Agree with Canuk_in_uk's answer, but you can check for your specific case here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/rules/

Really hoping London picks up processing times. Just had a quick look at spread sheets (and by quick look, I mean I'm a geek and secretly study them). In March London approved 5 apps, in April 3 and so far in May 2. There are 80+ people ahead of me on spread sheet so at that rate it could be nearly a 2 year wait until they get to 2015 applications! I am only 3 months in, I can only imagine how all of you waiting a year already feel!

Hi members,

So I got COPR, and the expiry date on COPR is 2 months from my medical expires.
Now I am just thinking, coz I have heard the COPR exipry is related to medical expiry. so why they have given my 2 months extra thing to land.
In this case, Do I have to land before my medical expire (to be on safe side) or I can oblige what my COPR expiry date say and land a couple week before my COPR expires..

thanks all and hv a great week.!

Keep in mind that not everybody is on the spreadsheets. They may have approved 15 apps monthly with only a few of them active on this website.

Does anyone on know if the process can be different for applications in the visa offices depending on what country the applicant is from?

In my case Im a little confused cause Im from Sweden so my office was suppose to be London but my application was sent to Ottawa instead, not really sure why since it seems like thats were the US applicants are beeing processed?

Will my process be any different from theirs? Can I expect the same timeline as the american applications? I know we have a very straight forward application, no criminal record, lots of proof of relationship, no dependants etc....

I'd love some input! Thanks!
