We received an e-mail from Ottawa today requesting additional evidence with regards to re-establishing in Canada. It definitely does seem as though Ottawa are making some progress now. We haven't posted a lot on this forum but we follow it closely. Thank you for all the guidance - it is very much appreciated.

I had a quick question based on the above. I assume I can send the requested information via e-mail or have people generally sent it by mail? Thanks.

Email is fine.

Hi there,

My wife and I just submitted our app for outland sponsorship - she's in Devon, UK and I'm in Toronto.
Our package was received by CIC on April 24.

Could we please be added to the spreadsheet? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum GreenBlack! Current processing time is 61 days so you should receive sponsor approval in about 2 - 2.5 months.

Hello all!

Small update for us: ECAS has changed to DM.

They started processing our application on April 23 (which is the date we received the passport request).

We sent the info to London VO (as per instructions since we currently live in UK) by 1st class delivery Friday morning, so hopefully the COPR should follow soon.

Re: COPR, look at the spreadsheet. That's the easiest way to answer your question. There's a column for Decision Made (or PPR), then a column for "Date COPR received in post". That is your answer. :)

Need to know if you are married/common-law, and where you are located, then I'll add you to the spreadsheet.
Thank you! I see that now on the spreadsheet, hopefully it wont be too long before we recieve ours!

We are married and our current location is Sweden. :)

SIt tight a few more days. As katathfx said, CIC's website says they are working on applications received on 4 Feb. If I had to guess, you are only days away from hearing. Sponsorship doesn't go strictly linearly, you can see from apps last year that there's a month or so of flexibility with approval times. I'd say once "workin gon apps received" gets past 12 Feb then that's when you start chasing them up.

They know how to contact you (since you got AOR) so if there were problems, you'd have heard. Just be patient and sit on it a bit longer.

My lawyer has just sent a reminder email to them as we still haven't heard anything back yet.
Does anyone know how long on average it takes to get a response via email? Alternatively is there a number I could call?
Only reason I'm stressing is because I am really wanting to move home in June but before I buy my ticket I want to know the answer and also need a months notice for the flat and work.

Even if Mississauga holds your application, June is incredibly optimistic to have everything finished. However there's nothing to stop you from moving back to Canada and for the non-Canadian to wait in Canada as a visitor.

There's a section n "Dual Intent" in the BRitishExpats wiki for spousal sponsorship, which tells you how to do the above; contact info for CIC is in the FAQ in my signature.

All added in! Let us know when you get COPR through as well!

Added! :)

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if I could be added to the spreadsheet as my file is being retained in Mississauga (supposed to be Vienna). I've been following this thread and your spreadsheet is absolutely amazing! I haven't had any update yet since SA on March 17th.

Thanks!

Hi,

The spreadsheet is for applications intended to London visa office.
