Seriously, reading even 3 posts on this thread directs you straight to the spreadsheet... Come on. Do a BIT of your item research, we aren't your monkeys!

If you are going to delete people's opinions you could at least delete your rude comment

Hello all,

firstly great group and very helpful information, I especially like the spreadsheet and please see my details below to add to it for others...

I just have two questions:
1) does anyone know what the likelihood of success is at the end of it? Getting a decision is one thing, getting the right decision is another altogether...
2) does having a job offer make a significant difference to chances of success or the processing time?

My details to add to your file as follows:
Received: 24-Jul-14
Married: M
Sponsor Approval: 05-Sep-14
Office: Ottawa
"In Process": n/a
Extra docs: 18-Feb-15
Decision made: n/a
Location: London, UK
Notes: Extra docs requested included marriage certificate, more proof of intent

Thanks

Andrew has beaten me to updating the spreadsheet, but to answer your questions:

1) The spreadsheet gives you an indication of that. Negative decisions are moved to the bottom section. There has been a grand total of ONE on the whole 5 years of data on the spreadsheet, and it was because the couple applied as Conjugal, which was never going to be approved anyway.
2) No difference whatsoever.

Welcome, I have added you to the spreadsheet. Please make sure I entered your info in correctly.

1. If the sponsor and the applicant are eligible as per the guide, and you do not misrepresent any facts, and they believe it is not a marriage of convenience then you should be good to go.
2. Not sure, I will say that it is not a requirement to have a job offer so I doubt they rush your file just because you do.

Hello all,

I am about to mail my application package to CIC, to sponsor my wife ... just confused which address to choose .. I am planning to send it using Xpresspost so I should use the address as

Sponsorship: (Spouse)
Case Processing Centre – Mississauga
2 Robert Speck Parkway,
Suite 300
Mississauga, ON
L4Z 1H8

or the other one with PO Box number?
Sponsorship :( Spouse)
Case Processing Centre ─ Mississauga
P.O. Box 3000, Station A
Mississauga, Ontario
L5A 4N6

Is Xpresspost a private courier? Yes.

At the bottom in huge letters London Spreadsheet :D oops at the bottom of andrew-brit page. You two both do such a great job.. Thank you.

This is where I was confused .. many thanks :)

Think about it logically - a PO Box can't sign for a package. :) Hence they have to give you an actual address where a human can sign for it!

Haha yes I saw that afterwards! Too funny. I have also updated my signature to include a link to the spousal sponsorship FAQ page I wrote for BE. It should help answer a lot of the regular questions on here. :) IF you have any suggestions on things to add ot it, drop me a PM.

Thanks to you both for your quick replies. Info in spreadsheet is correct, one other thing that may delay mine a bit which they requested on 18-February was declaration of consent for them to get a New Zealand police check done on me as I spent a number of months there on a working holiday permit a few years ago. May be worth adding a comment about that. Having looked again at spreadsheet there is one other applicant who may have been through a similar situation and has not yet been approved (only looking at 2014 applicants) which makes me think this could delay mine slightly. Thoughts?

Thanks again

Hello everyone, I have a quick query...

We are still in stage one and have not yet received SA when i look on CIC at the 'Sponsorship application status'. However when I look at the 'permanent residence application status' it says medicals received. am I correct in assuming this is part of the pre screening process?
