Is this mandatory? I don't remember seeing that on any checklist?

Happy Days! We already made plans to attempt to return to Canada after Christmas this year…we received our decision last week (August 12) – My fiancé has been approved to come to Canada. The entire process took us 8 months (we started the application in Janaury). But we sent in our application in March, they received in the 28th….so it only took 4.5 months in total.

Thanks for all the help along the way, this forum helped me out more than words can say!
To the rest of you that are waiting – I hope you hear amazing news soon!

Love - Randi & Gareth

For those of you that do not know, the spreadsheet for London is managed mostly by SchnookoLoly. And she is fantastic!

There is a new cover page on the spreadsheet that will help give a more current idea on processing times. It is based on the last 20 decision made. Also, a really cool graph showing how many decision made per month . Check it out!
If you have any issues please update here and I will be sure to pass it on.

And please join me in thanking her. Our spreadsheet is hands down the most organized and easy to understand and that is mostly thanks to SchnookoLoly
Wow, this spreadsheet is great! It's very reassuring to see the processing times aren't anywhere near the official CIC processing times...

I'm getting real tired of waiting now. It's official..

Hopefully I will see something good on the notes which should come today or tomorrow if they honor the posted processing time of 30 cd.

Yeah, it's a requirement to enter all travel after the age of 17 in the paperwork. If you have traveled extensively (like my husband) you are allowed to write 'See attachment' and attach a piece of paper to the application stating all your travels. In my husband's case that was a two page addition.

they seem to have a package available for "inpatriots" to canada under the visitor section. this is for PRs and returning Canadians waiting for provencial health care. it seems you have to sign up through one of their partners. you'll be able to find a list of companies based on where you plan to live.
Thank you very much!!

H i there---can anybody help me on inland versus out outland. I am a uk citizen and just married my Canadian resident hubby. we were told to apply outland first of all - then I was told if we did it that way I could not leave Canada (which I need to do as I have things to sort out) and if I did I possibly would not be able to get back into the country and it could jepordise the application. so now we are applying OUTLAND - so we are filling everything out here in Canada - where does it go from here and what happens next.

Finally received some good news yesterday... the Canadian High Commission in London has requested passport for final processing!! Finally see the light at the end of the very long CIC tunnel.

Do you mean you were told to apply INLAND first of all? If so then yes, you shouldn't travel outside of Canada on an inland application

Outland is way faster for UK applications so there is really no benefit of applying inland

I'm not to sure what your question is but when you have completed the forms you send them to Mississauga for the sponsors approval and after that it will be sent to London for the applicants approval, right now current trend is about 6-8 months processing time for most people

Also,

I noticed there seem to be few people applying to go to Quebec. Any idea how much time the CSQ adds to the process?

Hello,

I am a Canadian citizen sponsoring my Swedish husband. We applied outside of Canada: I have been approved as a sponsor and the application is now in London, UK. Is it possible to be added to the spreadsheet?

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kYJ0Xo_jHLeArkCVeicZyqIE8YLpnZqVJlFrnpmKMx0/edit#gid=396125530

Quick question - when you look up processing times by office, the London UK says 11 months. I know this is a general guideline - but is the 11 months from when the whole application was received in Canada or when the application was received in the UK?

Thnaks.

Hello!

I am a Canadian citizen, my partner is Australian and we are currently living in the UK where I'm doing my Masters in Law. We are almost ready to send our application off to Mississauga (just need to get his photos done!). I'm super sick of organizing paperwork at this point and praying everything goes smoothly!

This forum has been so great in answering so many of my questions! Its so nice to see so many people in our same situation :)

I know this has more than likely been addressed somewhere but I'm having trouble finding it!

If my partner's PR visa gets approved how long will we have to enter Canada? Will we have until his medical results expire mid August 2015 OR if the application is done quickly will they give us a tighter time frame for example something like 60 days after the visa is approved to enter?

Just wondering because I'm in school until next summer and would not be ready to leave the UK until July at the earliest. It would be such a pain and a tight budget squeeze if he had to go land and come back to the UK!

Any advice/clarification would be great! Thanks
