Your welcome :) and yes I absolutely should make it in time now :D

I'll just let you know how it worked for me

On the 29th July I emailed them
Heard nothing back
Today at 11 o clock I requested GCMS notes
Then today at 12:15 I got the email

It seems (although cant be sure) that they read my email on the 29th and sent my copr out the same day
Then they got my request today for GCMS notes and decided to reply to my email

To me it looks like my bothering them has worked as the dates seem to be to much of a coincidence

I may be being a bit silly but can't seem to find the link to email or get my GCMS notes - where do I find those? :-)

OMG LONDON ACTUALLY REPLIED TO MY MESSAGE

"Please note your Confirmation of Permanent Residence was sent to the following address of 29th July 2014."

Eeekk overwhelmed with happiness, at least I know its not a rejection letter :)

@ sammyjolpp hopefully yours was sent too, at least we know now that its taken them 2 weeks to physically send it out and chances are its on its way and not lost in the post :)

yay!! That must be such a relief. Start organizing your life to move now :)

Update on my side of things:

My lawyers think that the government won't tell us about it (Dubai police check) being waived or not waived, until the two month deadline is done. It's not uncommon for them to take the full length of the time period to look at the papers we went the very next day after they asked us.

The COPR (should it be waived and this is the end of it) will be sent to the lawyers, not us. This works greatly in our favour as the Cypriot postage system (even the couriers) can be incredibly slow. It takes a package from Canada 6-9 weeks to get to me, a letter is 3-6 weeks and if it was mailed from the UK it'd be roughly half that time but still horribly long. We're out of here in 29 days and out of the country in 41 so the lawyers being the collection point is useful. Avoids it getting lost in the system as we get things going.

Hi, I know this information is probably somewhere in this thread but could someone please tell me how you order your notes when youre in Canada?
Thanks :)

OMG its arrived

I had a call from home to say the brown envelope is there :)

I haven't seen it yet so I hope all details are correct

Ahh finally the process is complete! I'm sending all of my positive energy to those still waiting!

That's good to know it will go to your lawyers. Not many people on this thread use lawyers so it is good information to have if anyone uses one in the future.

Thank you!

Do you have any news on yours?
Did you email London?

No not yet :-( I emailed them yesterday but not heard anything yet. I'm going to send off for my notes tonight - maybe that will get things moving!
