Got DM on March 3,2013
Emailed London on March 14, 2013 asking where the COPR was sent to as we had not received anything
Got a respons today (March 19,2013) saying:

"Your Confirmation of Permanent Residence Form was issued and mailed on 15/03/13 to the address on our record:
**********
You should expect to receive the documents shortly"

Looks like they just needed a little extra prompting to complete the last step and actually send it in the post...sigh..so glad we will soon be done dealing with this system.....

Hi All,

Does anyone have any advice on this:

I've been in Canada for the last 16 months as a visitor. Husband and I applied for PR in October. My mailing address on the ECAS is UK but my home address is shown as being in Canada where I was living with my husband.

I"m now in the UK for 4 months, waiting for PR to be accepted and visiting friends and family. Should i update my home address to the UK one or will that delay things. Do they need to know that i'm now living away from him, even though its only for 4 months till i go back?

Also does anyone know if CIC think i'm living with him already in canada, that that delay the wait time as CIC won't see it as urgent?

Thanks

Rebecca

I think you should leave this as is - it does not really matter where you are living as long as you are living there legally! So you extended your visitors visa and now you are back in the UK - no big deal - trust me, I do not think CIC is stalking us as much as we like to believe considering the paranoia inducing effects of this process! You are just fine - ;D

Just a quick one, who will the COPR be addressed to?

to the applicant, with the mailing address that was entered on the application. any day now for you! :-)

Does anyone have any experience of the time it takes to get a reply from CICLondon office?

the reasonable answer would be "it depends"! depends on what you're asking mostly. If you're asking if they have received your documents, or if they have started processing your file, you might not get an answer. Or you might! can take anywhere from 1 day to 10 days... or more.

CONGRATS!

Evening all ;D

We cant fit all our Visa application package into a 9x12 envelope!!

Does it matter if we use a bigger one (rules say 9x12)

Also are we allowed to staple pages together (emails etc) i know we are not allowed to with photos.

Many thanks all,
Lee.

any envelop works - as long as you can fit everything in! some people had to use boxes...
Don't use staples - they will be taken out as soon as it reaches Mississauga, so might as well not put them in the first place. If you want to keep things organised, use paperclips, or just put everything together neatly.
Good luck,
Sweden

That totally sucks that they didn't send it straightaway :(. I know that it almost doesn't seem real until you are holding the papers but at least now you know that it's on the way and you should have it this week!!! :D

Okay guys, this might sound like a very stupid question, but I just want to make sure. I am going to UK in May to visit my husband for the long weekend. Would I have any problem with the UK border? I will have my return flight and my signed vacation form that I filled out for a day off from work. Thanks :)

Morning all..

Been "In process" since the 5th of March, Sponsorship approved on the 24th September 2012.
I have had zero contact from CIC.
Is this kind of time frame normal??

Thanks..

Just wanted to pop in and say hello to all you GB'ers and please come to Toronto as we need more Brits to party with! :-*
