Soooo
Got DM on March 3,2013
Emailed London on March 14, 2013 asking where the COPR was sent to as we had not received anything
Got a respons today (March 19,2013) saying:

"Your Confirmation of Permanent Residence Form was issued and mailed on 15/03/13 to the address on our record:
**********
You should expect to receive the documents shortly"

Looks like they just needed a little extra prompting to complete the last step and actually send it in the post...sigh..so glad we will soon be done dealing with this system.....

That sucks. Glad you decided to email them and check, otherwise it could've been longer!

haha I've heard from my friends in Northern England it's because there are a bunch of trades jobs out West that they want. Supposedly not the best climate for trades in the UK right now. Know a few people who've now gone out to Alberta and BC for jobs from Manchester/Salford/Rochdale/etc. area.

Toronto needs you though! We do!

Yeah, I heard that too! Lots of work out there.

TO is still the best though :P

When did you get your additional documents back to them? I'm asking because I got a request too and am wondering if it will hold up my application.

Morning all..

Been "In process" since the 5th of March, Sponsorship approved on the 24th September 2012.
I have had zero contact from CIC.
Is this kind of time frame normal??

Thanks..

Good morning and welcome to the thread!
yes - it's pretty normal. If you look at the spreadsheet in my signature, you'll see that quite a few people have similar timelines to yours, but it seems like it's coming closer to the end - hang in there!
Good luck,
Sweden

Within a few days............Seems like it does hold up the application - I've been in process for 49 days.

Okay guys, this might sound like a very stupid question, but I just want to make sure. I am going to UK in May to visit my husband for the long weekend. Would I have any problem with the UK border? I will have my return flight and my signed vacation form that I filled out for a day off from work. Thanks :)

wouldn't have thought so. just be honest

I added new sections at the bottom of the spreadsheet showing average timelines. The average for those who weren't requested additional documents is showing as just over 30 days for Stage 2 (45 days in total) longer than for those not requested documents/a medical extension...
