Well, well, well. My husband just heard from our friends at the London VO requesting more on his personal history. This has happened to others on this forum whereby even though we went back 10 years as specified in the instructions they've changed the goal post it would seem, and he now needs to go back to the age of 18.

Even though this is a pain in the rear it means that they've opened our file and we are over the moon. Funny how we just got our GCMS notes on Friday, and today they've emailed for more information. Coincidence?

App date: Sept 17
Sponsorship approval: Oct 22.

:D

Annoying isn't it!!!! We had the same info requested, but as you said, it was nice to know they were looking at our file! If it makes you feel any better, we got DM less than 3 weeks after sending in that info!! So fingers crossed for you!! :)

Wow! That would fantastic! Thanks for letting me know. Did you email and post a hard copy of the info request back to London or just email? :) Thanks

So even though I was trying to be good and wait until the 25th March (6 months in London) before I sent them another email...I have gone and sent one today. I feel kind of ashamed :-[ that I am unable to wait approx 20 days. But I am starting to worry, yesterday was a bad day for me in terms of obsessing over immigration, I have been fairly good recently, casually coming on here and only checking Ecas once a day. But I was on this forum all day yesterday and I checked ecas at least 15 times yesterday, hoping for some sort of change. I am always genuinely pleased when people around me (especially on the spreadsheet) are getting DM's or progress on their application, but I am not going to lie, I do feel crappy that it's not us. :'( :'( :'(

Anyway, I will probably feel better later (I might just be hormonal....lol)

I need a nice cuppa and the will power to stay away from Ecas for at least a couple of days.

:( Sorry you are feeling down about your immigration. I feel the same way at the moment. I think this week I am going to send an email as from the spreadsheet, I don't think anyone else has waited nearly 6 weeks after being in process for a decision to be made (at least not without having to send extra documents and I haven't been asked for any of those either).
Sometimes all this waiting is just really depressing...

Hahaha this is how I feel too. I don't think it's too bad most people would understand I'm sure...

Same here. We've done everything they wanted and yes, "patience is a virtue" but come on! Very frustrated now.

I have added you to the 2013 spreadsheet, which is the first tab. Are you applying as Common-Law or Married?

We are applying as common law. - Thank you. :)

My gf's cousin just got her Green card for the USA (married a US guy). She applied at the same time as me.

USA 1-0 Canada ;D

Thanks everyone, I know I'm not alone. Have been working all afternoon so 4 hours of no immigration was kind of nice, but got home and checked ecas...lol *hangs head in shame*

Spent the day out with my parents, before I left and as I came home I checked too...

I totally understand how you feel. Some days are worse than others and sometimes you just feel so desperate an just want to cry!! It was me too. It would kill me day in and day out. I could have sworn hat I would never see DM! But I did :D and you will too!!!!

Hey Sfeire...

My husband is in the UK but flying here for the start of April. Ya, I was surprised how fast it arrived from decision made to COPR in hand.
Are you the one moving to Canada?

Hey Lakwa!
Both myself and my husband are Irish. We originally went to Canada on working visas and loved it so much! We've been there 3years.. I'm at home in Ireland for a few weeks while I waited so I will be heading back to Canada very soon! COPR is going to Canada and hubby will send it on to me then. Hopefully it will arrive by the weekend!

Congratulations to everyone who's after getting DM recently. My COPR arrived this morning, I'll be flying over in a week or two to land, and come back to Ireland then until we're heading in June. So my journey is over, this site has been a fantastic help, gave me hours of reading and advice, and without it this process would have been much more difficult. Thank you all for your help, and best of luck to all those waiting on that DM status!
