I really don't think I can bare to log into E-cas and see "Application Received" again.. it's soul destroying.

244 days and counting... :'(

I feel your pain, although I am only reaching 200 days, I'm not sure I could last until 244. I admire your strength.

I'm closing in on joining the '300 club'. 359 is the record on the spreadsheet, lets see if I can beat that. Qtaz and I must certainly be close to the highest time ever seen for a visa exempt application. Another record I could possibly beat (that Qtaz is actually behind me on) is longest time 'in progress' at London. Yaaaaaaaaay!

Hey Sweden,

For PM roles I've found they like a PMP qualification here in Canada. Have you done it? I spent my free time (while job hunting and waiting for PR) to read and pass (4 hour exam) the qualification. It might help you get the role you want. Worked for me...now I just need the PR!

well at least you still have your enthusiasm & sense of humour ;D

My Ecas is finally working....and no change to the status: "Application received". Although I know they have opened and started to review the application as they have asked for more information!

Arrrgh! I'm fed up.

Rant over.

I'm jealous, your after me on the spreadsheet and I haven't heard a thing, but pleased for you, at least you know they are working on it. Are you visa exempt?

So, I am in Toronto and we're going to find out today whether we get the apartment we want. Fingers crossed!

Anyone know where to go to start looking for a job here?

Hey bonita. What field of work are you in? Best of luck with the apartment! What area is it in?

You could have a look at this section of the forum http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/finding-work-in-canada-b21.0/

There is also online: http://jobsearch.monster.ca/Ontario+toronto+Ontario+Toronto__2fGTA_1212?sf=17

Indeed is a good website because it brings together many job search sites. However the best strategy will depend on line of work...

Are there any job sites that focus on IT (programming) jobs or am I better looking at sites like the above?

I've been keeping an eye out and there's not a lot of IT jobs near me that I've seen. I really don't want to have to commute 1 and a half to 2 hours each way to Toronto each day!

Welcome to Toronto...remember it's pronounced Torono by the locals- no second t.

as for job search it depends on what you're looking for really...

yep. so we should have the same timeline hopefully. I'm guessing late March for my COPR as progress has slowed considerably. :(
