thanks for your support sweden, we do have a name to send the form to, jsut frustrating that we sent an out of date one, then missed the last post today to send out the new one!

hopefully you are right and it'll only delay us by a week or so.

If you have a name for the officer, then you should be fine - I remember that the same happened to somebody who applied at the same time as me ( in April), and they got the sponsorship approval the day that the missing document was received - basically the officer opened the file, saw the missing document, asked for it, and as soon as it was received, sponsorship approved... I am not saying that it will be the case for you for sure, but with the name of the officer it should go pretty fast - especially if you have an uncomplicated case (for sponsor: either residing in Canada, or strong proofs of intention to return, no bankruptcy or welfare, and no criminal background) - then it should go quite fast.
Good luck!

Fingers crossed.I wish everyone here a rapid decision .I can't wait any longer to be without my hubby as the festive season is approaching ,on top on that our first wedding anniversary which we would not celebrate together as I m starting anew job soon and he has no more vacation.so we cannot really visit though he is from visa exempt .I wish that all goes by soon and it will be just a memory to think of :(

Hey Blueboom,

the colors are a little confusing at first, I agree! they represent the month that your application was received in CIC.
If CIC was consistent in the way they approve sponsors, the colors would show as a block for each month.... but since this spreadsheet is to see how much time London is taking to approve, applicants are classified based on the day they receive sponsor approval...

In your case: since you are from September, I have added you in the "grey category". You can see that october is green - but some are before you on the spreadsheet, because they got their approval before you (some are after you too!)....the spreadsheet is a good representation of the way CIC works - not very chronological and very confusing! :-)

Hope it clarifies - otherwise just ask! now feel free to add information, once you are on the spreadsheet it's quite easy...
Good luck for the PR process,
Sweden

Thank you!

Thanks to all of you.

This is what it shows on Ecas

We received your application for permanent residence on April 20, 2012.

We started processing your application on November 13, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

We mailed our application to Mississauga on November 6th, and I know from the Royal Mail website that they delivered it on November 14th. Our medicals were done a fair bit earlier on August 21st (I didn't think it would take me as long as it did to prepare the rest of the application, but yeah - let's hope for the best with that!).

It makes me antsy not hearing anything from CIC, even an acknowledgement that they received it, for several months, but I assume it's all arrived okay. I'm hopeful and happy that it's been sent. :)

Hey Eabie,

Welcome to London thread! and congrats on getting it all together and sending it. Most likely you won't hear from CIC until you have the sponsorship approval, if you're lucky you might get an AOR, but not too often - so don't count on it too much! The waiting time for first stage is actually pretty "low" ( compared to most of 2012), so it's a good time to send your application.

If you have the tracking from Royal Mail, it made it safely to CIC, and it's probably waiting to be opened... hopefully within a little over a month ( a good christmas gift! :-) ). Feel free to add yourself to the spreadsheet (you'll find the link in my signature), and if you also would like to join the thread for November applicants (for first stage it will give you a better sense of when "your turn" will be), here is the link: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/november-2012-applicants-unite-t123516.45.html

Good luck for the whole process,
Sweden

Congratulations! It's a great feeling!

Our COPR arrived in the post on Friday, which was surprisingly quick, so we've booked flights out to Vancouver for 1st January and all we have to do now is ship our things and say goodbye to England! It's quite terrifying but very, very exciting!
