Sweden, saw your change on the spreadsheet....getting excited for you!!!!!...lol Did Tracker notify you of a change or you find out yourself?

Indeed! It's a bit scary, but I want to believe that it's good news! I so wish that my application would change to "decision made"... I found out myself (can't keep out of ecas, no matter how much I try!), logged in, and there it was! an added category ( when I logged in with the application number, I could only see "current mailing address before"), now next to it, there is another one " your current home address" and it states what we put on the application... :-) I really really hope it's good news, and I'm not deluding myself...
I have had a "mailing address" in Canada, with proper information (street name etc) since I moved here to wait out my PR, so that's definitely an addition - and I hope it means that I'm just done and they've decided that it's acceptable for me to remain in Canada! :-)
Sweden

PS: ecas tracker didn't detect the change, maybe because it's an added category, and not a change in the status? I'll maybe write a feedback to the person maintaining it...

From the spreadsheet it seems like you had a "short" ( compared to most people who applied at the same time) first stage, maybe London is processing applications based on the dates they were initially received in CIC and not when they get to London?

Hi Sweden,

Yes our first stage was pretty short, we put it down to the fact that my wife is a joint UK/Canadian citizen by birth and has a steady employment record and we have no kids. We figured it was a pretty straightforward case for them. Just frustrated my side of the application is taking so long. Maybe you're right and they order things by date of CIC receipt, I really hope not though! We assumed we were somewhere close to being next in the queue for processing but I guess we won't know until we get some news or a few more COPRs start coming through.

Hey Fuzzy,

I like you had a short 1st stage and had my file transferred in early July. One good thing about that is, London VO is bound in by the date the received your file, in other words if you fall outside their processing times then you have options available to yourself. Stage 1 has nothing to do with circumstances about your family and whether you have kids or not, stage 1 solely based on the sponsor's ability to provide for the spouse, nothing else comes in to that evaluation. Stage 2 is where all that stuff is evaluated and acted upon.

As for London processing in order of date received, well there has been 2 August approvals that have received COPR and the London spreadsheet certainly does not go in order of date received, there actually is no pattern of initial application or application received by the VO after stage 1 approval, it is a mess. I can see on the spreadsheet some March applicants processed before January applicants, some february before March, some may before April and some August before July. That spreadsheet doesn't support in what order they are processing all I see is that April initial applicants started getting processed at the beginning of October and some May applicants started getting processed from October 15th onwards.

Hopefully London can can finish of the existing June applicants and us July applicants who have been waiting over 4 months can start being processed. I mean 120+ days is seriously frustrating when I see the average for 2nd stage approval is 96 days.

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum but have been following it for the last few months while I too have been waiting to hear about our application.

My timeline is CPC-M application received 1/6/12, AOR 16/7/12, sponsorship approval 26/7/12

I did email London last week to enquire if they had received my file but had no answer. So yesterday I rang the call centre and the lady there told me London received my application on 8/8/12. So that has kind of put my mind at ease that at least it arrived!

oh well back to the waiting......

I just noticed mine and my boyfriends ECAS pages aren't even consistent (nothing significant!) just mines says "current mailing addresses" and his is "current home address" and it's our joint address in Scotland for both. Just makes me less reliant on waiting for information from ECAS when our pages aren't even the same haha

I really need to stop checking it!

Hope your update means you are close Sweden!

YES!!! finally... my ecas has changed to Decision Made! :-)) (had to stare at it really long to be sure!!)
Started processing my application on the 5th of November, and decision has been made :-)

Now to stalking the mailman... (well my inlaws will - it's their address on the application!).

Grattis! :)

Just out of curiosity, what's your story?

I met my girlfriend/sponsor when she was on exchange in Uppsala and she "imported" me. We're now living in Toronto.
