I agree. I have been having nightmares about this since my file was sent. Worried that they never received it. I did contact them and ask them before via email and never got a response.

I want to go to sleep and wake up when this is all over. I don't know what to do with myself. I am sick with worry and anxiety. We want to start a family because we're getting up there in age.... but, we can't think about that until this is sorted. They have no idea how much they are messing with people's lives.
I hear you, same situation. Its so hard, I have problems sleeping as well...a nightmare that dose not want to end. Hope it will be over soon, hang in there.

Same situation as the both of you. :'(
When you pay over $1000 for a service you wouldn't expect it to take this long. I hope they realize how much this waiting around messes up people' lives.

The plan was to move to BC when I can work. The cost of living is expensive there and moving on one wage would be difficult. I don't know what we're going to do. Hubby works out in Alberta on the oil sands. He is gone for 2 weeks and home for one. So alone and so fed up. If I come, I will look you up.

Please do - we'll go for sushi, or something else, and just walk around in the woods looking for bears :-)

It's such a horrible time, but once it's done it will all be worth it I promise!!
We have been here for almost 18 months and it's wonderful. I'm even starting to remember my way around Edmonton - not just the area around WEM!!!

Bless you honey xxx
I was very lucky because my fella's application was completed in 5 months. My sister and her husband (5yrs earlier) had a nightmare. They decided to move during summer holidays so their boys could start school at the beginning of the school year to try and make it a bit easier on them, which gave them 9 months (guidelines were saying 5-6) for the application to be done, it didn't happen. My sister and nephews moved in July and my brother-in-law didn't get here until March. Their application was as straightforward as ours but it took them 18 months - I don't understand how that works?!?

Youre right, life is short, but this is just a small (hideous) moment that will pass. Where do you live now?
