Hubby flagpoled and landed yesterday! we drove the 2 hours to the Rainbow Bridge..Ther was no wait time. We went across to America and shopped, and filled up the car with petrol (sooo cheap!) and then home again. There was no problem at the border, got his COPR stamped and away we went!! Can't believe we're DONE!!! :D

Good luck to everyone still waiting! Stage two is going fairly fast through London now, ours was less than 2months!

congrats ;)

We are shipping 210 cubic feet for £1100 which seems to be the cheapest I could find.

ahhhh ok ... thats still quite alot as i am only having a few boxes of books thats about it....

another question for medical do i need to get a report from my doctor in the uk about what vaccinations i have had to show immigration on landing point? anyone know at all?

If you only have some boxes of books, you would do better to Air freight it on a pallet. Its lots cheaper too!

I'm using a company called Relouk. £940.00 for shipping to my destination. Worth looking at!

hey rosie, yup thats the one i am looking at air freight ... a company called pack and send charged quite a bit £235 while i phoned a freight company in london and they are charging £125 for 2 boxes of books... drop off at toronto airport .... only thing is when i pick them up the company will provide me with the paperwork i think and i can collect the boxes from the airport. going to enquire more ;)

only thing is a one way ticket during august is expensive ...

hey guys sorry i have another question ...

where can i get boxes from for books? is staples double wall boxes any good at all? as they are just for books ...

Unless you can get someone to hold them for you, and send them off later, theres not much really you can do about that! ::)

hey Tweety35,

each province has different rules and depending on your nationality it can even differ. You can check on here http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/subjects/cards/drivers_licence.shtml it will tell you everything you need to know! :-)

good luck,

Hi everyone!
My file got stuck somewhere in London office. Its been one year and month since we first submitted the app. Interview was done and approved in January 2012. Background/Security check has been completed and approved in April. Medicals expired and reassessed again and further medical exam (just Chest X-ray) was requested in June and was submitted in 2 July. How long do you guys think its gonna take for the medical office to work on it and reach the decision because it is way past the standard processing time in London? I have sent an inquiry earlier and it seems they dont want to answer: Your thought and experience are needed here.
