Congrats to everyone hearing the good news and to those whose applications are progressing further!

Yes, daisies, Finland is a great place to live! We lived there for 5 years of our marriage. It would definitely be our second choice after Canada. Its a good thing we haven't been arguing about whose home country to live in! :)
Where in Finland did you live and where in Canada are you moving to?
I am addicted to "ruisleipää" and will miss it for sure!

Ok Ill have a look into that, I didnt bring the barcode to work with unfortunately so Ill have to wait til I get home.

Just wondering - did anyone else send it so it had to be signed for? (and did it get there ok?) I cant surely be the only person who did?

thanks all!
I sent to Mississauga with DHL and could track it all the way to Hamilton Ontario. It got to Mississauga and a month and a half later we got sponsor approval letter. Someone in Hamilton signed it!! (Of course that made me freak out because Mississauga is not the same as Hamilton! Guess they're really used to parcels to CIC...)

I've read elsewere on the forum that signed-for mail was delivered to the PO Box address with no issues.. I think it is more of a problem if you used a courier company
I used DHL...worked really well and no probs

You must've been one of the lucky ones ;)

Anyway... I wouldn't worry... if they were unable to deliver to a PO Box they would have told you at the time of posting :)

I once had a PO Box when I lived at a place for a short time...when I got parcels too big to fit in the PO Box,the post office left a note in my box and I then had to pick up the parcel from them during their opening hours. Perhaps this is what they do with Mississauga too, leave a note to the person emptying the box saying they have some mail they need to sign for?

wow, I am able to log on to e-cas using my info (applicant) and it says "in process".
As posted earlier,I am facing some delays because of the FBI certificate, but I wanted to mention on here that once London opened my application they have been pretty good at "communicating" with me, they updated e-cas and have replied to one of my e-mails, and I got the reply the day after I had emailed them. :)
Sharing this with ya cuz at least I myself get a shower of nerv calming energy when hearing about you alls positive progress.

Hi!

You can send registered mail and regular mail to the P.O. Box. Its only if it was sent by a courier that you can't, then you send it to a difeferent addres. 2 Robert Speck Parkway... or something like that.

sorry, no good news to report here, will definitely post when I have some. What worries me is that ecas states that a decision has been made ... since the 26th August, and they only started processing on the 25th August. If there has been a failed attempt at contacting us the 60 days before the PR expires soon ends.

It's a pretty straight forward case (I think), married for 4 years, all lived in the UK, my wife had been over here for 4 years already (ancestry visa) before we dated and got engaged (another 2 years), we have two daughters, no criminal record, no bad finance history.

well, anyways, things can't go on much longer (can they?), trying to take things in our stride.

note to self - moving down from Scotland, changing jobs, having a baby, and immigrating in one year may bring some additional stress!

Hey thanks. I thought you had 90 days to land in Canada, that was my understanding.

Nope, you have until a year from the date of the medical or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.
The visa they put in your passport will have an expiry date in it.
