COPR IN THE POST TODAY
Oh my goodness! Okay here's the story, my e-cas moved to 'Decision Made' on the 14th January. After my medicals were extended (some time after this), it was sent to me. I got it today by registered post, meaning it required a signature. The COPR says the issue date was the 11th of January.
What was in the envelope?
Answer -
1. My COPR which is one page with all of details, my photo, sponsor's details, etc.
2. A six page letter stating what happens next, plus the date I must land by (five months from now), general information about provincial healthcare, employment in Canada, what I can bring to Canada via a website link to Customs Canada, the interview and landing process and a few other things.
3. My receipt of the Permanent Residence fee that I paid for, just before I sent off my visa back in February 2012.
4. And this is probably just me - A copy of my visitor visa I had a few years ago - I don't know why! I've had other visa for Canada!

So there it is! I've got my COPR, I'll look at flights now and decide when to go. I'm happy and sad and every emotion all wrapped into one! It's a great feeling though! This has been in the works for 11 months or so, not to mention the year or so beforehand collecting information and evidence.
All I can say is, it is very tough, stressful, annoying, wonderful, amazing and honestly just splendid. Good luck to everyone. I will be online every so often to answer any questions. Thanks all. It's only 3.30pm, I think I'll have celebratory drink though! :P

YAY!!!! I'm delighted for you, you finally got it ;D
It must be so nice to finally not have to worry or obsessively check ecas!!
Good luck with the start of your new life!! It really is a crazy process with so many emotions.
Congratulations !!

Oh god.. ecas isn't loading for me this morning. What if I can't check it 10 times today??!! :P

I think you need a pint of something from the old country... a Kilkenny Strong perhaps?

I'm sure if it was possible you would have applied earlier but if your husband is non visa exempt than it would take about 10-12 months looking at the example of others that have gone through the process. Lets hope the interview is waived!

We applied within a month of marrying, but we knew we were pushing our luck with his visa expiring. It shouldn't take 10 months at London, though. It's hard to calculate the total time because a lot of the cases that took 10 - 12 months in total had a long stage 1, whereas I lucked out with a short stage 1. I. The hoping to be as lucky as Forrester2000!

Best of luck to you.

Hello,

I've just joined as we have filed an outland application via London (I'm Canadian and my wife is British). A big thanks to this forum, some of the forms were tricky and the posts on here have been very helpful.

We were quite clinical and organised with the package. We put in a lot of supporting docs and photos, but kept it manageable and I paid the fees upfront. All in all we've been together for eight years, married for over two so hopefully things will go quickly.

Timeline thus far.
January 24 - Arrived in Mississauga (tracked via UPS).

So it's been a week of nail biting so far. I thought it was stressful applying, it's worse when the the package has been sent off!!!!!! :o

Hello all!

Wow, what a great resource and find to know that somewhere out there, there are others who are experiencing the anxiety, excitement and thrill of it all.

I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction on this forum of how to update my current status and milestones like so many of you have under your username to the right?

Thanks for your time,

David

Welcome, and good luck! It sounds like you're in a similar situation as my wife and I. I'm Scottish, she's Canadian and we've been living together in the UK for most of that time (aside from a period of waiting while we waited for a UK visa for her! I'm hoping that both our cases will be fairly straightforward given the length of our relationships and what not. It's not an easy business falling for someone of a different nationality. You'd think it would be simpler given the ties that bind us culturally. I mean, my wife is more Scottish than I am practically given that her family are mainly Gaelic speakers from Cape Breton! Anyway, best of luck to you! It sounds like you've put in a pretty solid application.

Hi, can anyone help me out!!!!

How to download skype call history.

Thanks

For what I can understand, Skype doesnt allow you to export chat history and as easily as MSN, you need a third party software. I foud this website/program with instruction video. Hope this helps. I do not use Skype so I couldnt test it for you and I don't know if it will work...but it is worth a try. http://www.kudosknowledge.com/products/kudos-chat-search-for-skype/

Thank you DGT!

I submitted my application on the 07th November 2012, and my husband has recently been approved to sponsor me as of the 16th January.

Then last week, my medical results were received and my file was transferred to London.

It is all very exciting, just not sure how many other stages I have to go through.

It is great to see other people's process/ progress too.

Cheers!
