can you guys advise me what is the phone number or Email to inquire to CIC for not receiving any info since the AOR as the timeline for approval is 32 days.Nothing on the Ecas too.Just freaking out and making th elong distance really unbearable :( Please help me guys.I'm grateful for all your support and advise.
you can try to call CIC (the general number 1-888-242‑2100), and ask about your file, because your file was received on the 25th of October, according to the spreadsheet, and CIC is working on file up to the 29th of October... however, if you have had an AOR, your file is there, it might take a few more days to check on background etc - don't freak out, you're still within the "normal approval time" - no need to worry, you probably will hear from CIC this week...

You can try to call - but I heard it's difficult to get to speak to somebody, and only from inside Canada... so if you are living outside of Canada, it might be difficult and you'll have to wait until CIC contacts you.
Good luck,
Sweden

It's completely fine! :) if anything, it proves that your relationship is genuine... so on the contrary - if needed, it will work in your favor. As long as you are a canadian citizen, you could choose to spend the whole process outside of Canada, and that's completely OK.... just keep the plane ticket, boarding cards, and any picture you may take while visiting, so if you are asked about more proofs of on-going relationship, you can add that to your file right away.
Enjoy your visit!

Thank you Sweden! :)
That is awesome, you really helped me out!
Time to get packing! :D

So I just have a quick question. After reading through the thread, a lot of you said when the PR was approved that they sent you a COR. I also notice that some of you have "passport request: exempt". I was under the impression that they request your passport once Pr is approved. Why, in some cases, is someone exempt? Will I be asked for my passport??
Thanks in advance :)

UK applicants are passport exempt. You won't need to send yours. You'll just get your PR without sending it.

I doubt you have anything to worry about yet. I'd wait until January before starting to worry.

Do you mean applicants from the UK or applicants that apply to London office? I'm from the Republic of Ireland so I wouldn't be exempt then? I know a friend who went through the process and had to send her passport.

Thanks for that! I actually just did a quick google (which I should have done earlier :p)

Here's what I found in another thread..

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/cic-eliminates-counterfoils-for-approved-prs-from-visa-exempt-countries-t88134.0.html

So that explains why my husband and friend had to submit their passports as their PR was issued before then!!

Thanks for the help guys! :)

Hi all,

I'm trying to fill in the online application form for renewing my visitor record (while I sit here in Toronto waiting for my PR  ) and its not liking my passport number! I get the following message:

Your answer is incomplete. Provide the necessary information below to continue.
Your passport number submitted with your Online Application must be the same passport number you used to enrol in MyCIC.

I can't seem to find a way to check/change the passport number I put in when I registered for MyCIC. Any ideas?

Thanks.

So my hubby sent an email to CIC to check on our application last Wednesday. We received an email back today,

"Your application has been received in London and is awaiting a full review. We will be in contact as soon as there have been further developments with the processing of your file."

I wasn't expecting anything else but I'm glad to know it's definitely there in London. Now back to checking ecas ten times a day ;)
