Hello,

I paid the fee online. 75+475+490 = 1040 and received the receipt.

Is it enough as proof of payment or I have to get original IMM 5401.

I am applying for outland sponsorship
IUf I remember right from when we applied, which was 3 years ago, I was emailed a copy of the receipt, and we just included that. I don't recall receiving a receipt in the post.

Good Afternoon ( or Morning / Evening depending on where you are in the world! :)
I am absolutely over the moon that today I received Decision Made Status and a request to send colour copy of my passport and photos.
I am applying in Montreal so needed that additional step of CSQ so for me this a very fast result and beyond my expectations.
For the speadsheet and to help any others that are applying for residency in Quebec I have included a reminder of my time line below.

Application Received in Mississauga. Canada : 10th October 2014

Sponsorship Approval and instruction to file for CSQ : 8th Dec 2014 ( instructed file will remain in Mississuaga)

CSQ Application received by Quebec Authorities : 19th Dec 2014

CSQ Approval and Receipt : 8th January 2015

PR Descision Made and Request for Photos by Mississauga. Office : 14th January 2015

Thank you so much to everyone on here especially the moderators - this is an amazing forum and I wish eveyone currently in proess and waiting the best of luck with their own happy outcomes :D

Congratulations! For the spreadsheet please provide the following information (you had most but were missing a couple of fields):

-Date application received in Mississauga
-Whether you applied as Married or Common-Law
-Date of sponsor approval
-Which office is processing Phase 2 of your application (will say on your sponsor approval letter/email)
-Date(s) of any other requests you've had
-Whether or not the principal applicant is non-visa exempt
-Current location of the principal applicant- closest major city is fine if you don't want to be too specific!

Have you been approved for SA yet ? If so you should be able to log in using your application # it starts with f000. If you have only just been approved recently give it time to be updated.

There are 3 ways to check ECAS:

1. Enter the sponsor's UCI, sponsor's surname, sponsor's date of birth, sponsor's country of birth. The sponsor will only receive a UCI once they receive sponsor approval unless they have applied for a visa or citizenship through CIC previously.
2. Enter the applicant's UCI, applicant's surname, applicant's date of birth, applicant's country of birth. The applicant will have a UCI if they have applied for any type of visa through the CIC previously. One of the applicant application forms asks for the UCI if known.
3. Enter the file number (found in the sponsor approval letter) and the applicant's details (surname, date of birth, country of birth).

To add to what andrew-brit said, when you do your country of birth, if it's the UK, do NOT select "United Kingdom and Territories" (or whatever the entry is), select England / Scotland / etc instead, and that should work.

Hi Sibby
Dont loose heart, it will come. If you look at mine it took more than 200 days for my sponsor approval but it doesn't mean that yours will take this long. I think my case is slightly more complicated but you will get there - we did it and its done.
Keep positive - :) :) :)
Thanks...trying to keep positive and believe that it will happen for us too.. just so hard being apart. Absolutely hate airport goodbyes!!! But as you say... keep positive.

Sibby, remember as well that things slow down massively over the holidays and in January - in January, a load of the streams re-open (grandparents, FSW, the new Express Entry program, IEC, and others), so there's generally an influx of work in January, and the agents who normally focus on family class are helping with those applications as well... it's a pretty standard pattern. 60 days is still pretty quick - when I applied in January 2012, it was at about 120!! It took us 4 months to get sponsor approval. So 2 months is still pretty swift! Chin up!
Thanks for the encouragement and info on january being a generally slow time. You have no idea how im wishing that the days go by fast....but as you said chin up. Thanks again
