We have a request from CIC for Additional Proof of Cohabitation January 8/15. We are actually getting married this weekend so along with the additional proof we will be sending the Marriage Certificate. Will let forum know when we actually send everything

We got sponsorship approval today.

The letter was kind of strange. It said that

"You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing."

and

"This visa office was selected based on your relative’s home address and the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act."

I chose London as I am Irish but this seems to indicate that it has been sent to Manilla as our current address is in Korea. Am I reading too much into this?

Does any one have a fax # for London please. I have just received PA GCMS notes and they have lost my husbands divorce certificate .

Did your notes show if your criminality/security/background checks have been started yet?

We just got our COPR in the mail today! So excited, we are moving to Canada in a month. Thanks to everyone who have been so helpful!

No they have not been started them yet .. 39 pages i received .Complicated at times to understand.

i believe that's the last step before issuing the visa, so most notes will have them as "not started". i ordered my notes right before i was actually approved, and received them after approval. i'm pretty sure mine still had to been started either. it doesn't really mean much.

The letter should specify which VO to contact with any further enquiries; this is the VO that it is sent to. My sponsor approval letter had the full contact details for London.

The notes always have a "Bring forward date", a deadline for the VO to look at the file. However, they usually always look at that file prior to that date.

Interesting.. my contact details are for Ottawa. That's good news? Although that isn't abroad which threw me off originally.

Please clarify, did the sponsor approval letter say Ottawa or Manilla?

The text in the letter saying "a visa office abroad" is just a template. They class Ottawa as abroad in this instance.
