Not true - I got married in Sept 2010 and filed in November 2010 (but then again we've been dating since Oct 2001)

Hey! Just got our first e-cas notification. CIC says that the status is 'decision made' and that the letter was mailed out on March 10th.

I highly doubt that . We just sent the sponsorship app in a month ago. I think it's the decision on my eligibility as a sponsor.

Has anyone heard of the application being forwarded to the wrong country...they sent mine to London rather than Buffalo...everything looked like it was going smooth too...I was approved...I wonder if it is because I registered for that tracker https://ecas.carroll.org.uk


No, I'm sure it is just a coincidence...I think I'm overanalyzing it...I hope it doesn't just get lost in a pile...

I overnighted it for a reason...just pissed because someone made a careless mistake which could set me back over a month...they said it would take a month to get back to Buffalo where it should belong...why a month?!?!?

It is their mistake can't they overnight it back to where it belongs?? I guess not...we are all at the mercy of them

https://ecas.carroll.org.uk had nothing to do with it. This web site is in no way affiliated with the CIC or Canadian government and was set up by an individual.

Sorry to hear that you're going to be delayed by a month due to their error. I can't imagine how much that must suck.

Yea it sucks because me along with most people on this forum spent every extra effort to make sure everything was as perfect as possible. I even typed into the PDF so there would be no question as to what I wrote because I was so paranoid about them being able to read everything properly.

I just hope they don't lose it!

I've always looked at your time line scylla and it gave me hope mine would be as fast and smooth as yours...

I can't transfer from my company until I get the PR done which will give me work authorization. It seems the answer I got was if a canadian cannot fill the role then I would qualify so my HR department said once I get the PR then it will be easier.

So it isn't like I can move that day I get it either...that is when I can truly look at the available jobs my company has to possibly transfer....

Yes - I feel very lucky things went so smoothly for us. Like you, we spent a massive amount of time putting the application together to make sure everything was done right. We were unable to provide one police certificate out of the bunch (my husband spent a year and a half in Kuwait in the mid 80's and the records from this period don't exist any more). Because of this, I was sure our application was going to take longer than average. But luckily it didn't.

I've seen a number of people processed with shorter times than mine. Hopefully they will expedite your file once it reaches Buffalo to make up for their mistake. Seems like that's the least they should do...

I'll be flying to Buffalo tomorrow afternoon, picking up the visa Tuesday morning - landing the same day, staying in Toronto for the rest of week and coming back home on Sunday. I still have about 2 weeks to use up of my time for work! Ugh!!

FYI for Buffalo applicants - if you're looking for a hotel I've found a hotel a half a mile away from the Buffalo Visa office - Comfort Suites Downtown - they have great prices and amentities.

Don't worry! My husband's ecas continued to show "in process" after he received PPR - and continued to show this status for almost two weeks after he landed. So what you're seeing is perfectly normal.
