Yep, she got PPR AND it was her birthday.

I wish you and I saw some activity. :(

I contacted my MP today. That was a waste of time. I asked if they can find out what the Bring Forward date is or anything they can about the status of the application and here's the response I got from someone in the MP's office:

I am writing on behalf of [MP] concerning an immigration file for your husband. I have checked the status of this application at CIC . It was received on September 10, 2010. The time frame listed on the website is 11 month for processing this file at Canadian Consulate General in Buffalo. The immigration offices do not recommend to contact them if the time frame has not exceeded their normal processing time. Please contact our office in summer, August/September if you or your husband have no contact from visa office and we will follow up on the status of your file.

I already knew all this. It's not like I don't check the CIC website on a daily basis... :(
Disappointed and frustrated.

I hear ya. I DID get a call from the Consulate's office ... when I was AT WORK. They requested a document, left a fax number and that's it. No name, no phone number, no way of confirming they even received the fax I sent. I should be used to waiting ... but I'm not. :-X

Just a note for those in the thread: my wife received her AOR today around 4ish EST. Tried to update the Buffalo spreadsheet but have just read only access ;)

Congrats Jeff!! 8)

Wow... On the bright side, at least you know they are working on it. Maybe this is a sign your passport request will come soon.

What document did they want, exactly?

Btw, I was looking through your other posts... did you ever receive an initial assessment, or no?

Does anyone know the specifics of how an application is delayed when they have to wait for your RPRF? In mid January (it was dated the 18th) I got my initial assessment (I think that's what it was?) with the bar codes and letter saying no additional docs needed medical received, RPRF paragraph circled. I had my husband pay it that weekend, and I emailed Buffalo to confirm receipt and they emailed back on Feb 16 saying they had it confirmed as paid.
Does my application have a bring forward date or is it just sitting there in a pile waiting to be found again?
I wish I had known you could just pay it up front. :S

It could be sitting there in a pile waiting for an officer to get through their already large pile and give it a final review. Or it could have a bring forward date and, due to backlog or whatever, might not be picked up for final review until that date. There's no way to know for sure if it has a bring forward date or not, without having either an MP find out for you or ordering your CAIPS notes (which could take 4-6 weeks for you to even get).

Unfortunately, if you already know they received it, all that's really left for you to do is wait.

Based on a couple experiences of people on here that had to pay the RPRF fee through Buffalo it takes anywhere to
1 1/2 to 2 months after the fee is paid. One girl had paid Nov 30 and recieved, PPR Feb 16th. Her MP had been in contact with the CIC and they were told their application was in que for final review.

I emailed Buffalo, pretending to be clueless, and asking if because I received my initial assessment, my application is now in queue for final assessment and passport request.

...we'll see if they even bother to reply. I hope maybe it triggers PPR... it would seem a lot of people send emails, and within a day or two, get it.

At least now I know Buffalo has my email address.

Good luck everyone.

Pharoh - Did you ever fax Ottawa and ask them to forward your medicals? I still think the trigger for finishing mine was re-requesting those to be forwarded, then the followup email 2 days later regarding the bring forward date. If you are in the final que, your really close.

The initial assessment from Buffalo said they received my medicals, no other docs were needed, the fees were paid, and interview waived.

So yeah, should be in final queue. :)
