What about my love holding a cheese platter? She always holds a hot cup of Timmies for me when I get through customs at the airport!Baloo said:I know what you would choose if it was a choice between CHEESE or YOUR LOVE ;D
I will be landing and staying in Toronto, ON - that would be a great forum given if some of us stay in the same area!pinay_juliet said:@ DKA... hehehe where are you landing? I am from Vancouver!
We should create a thread title: Meeting Up's!
We all share the same passion and experiences... would be nice to see each other right?![]()
Boy that was a waste of time - why would they tell you the same thing you can that's posted up on the CIC's website?!?!?pinay_juliet said:By the way, I emailed my MP for help to follow up. It was advised by a friend of mine who used the MP long time ago... FAIL!!!!!!!! Here's her reply:
The current processing time for a spousal sponsorship application from the United States is 11 months based on a completed application. As your application has only been in process for approximately 4 months, you are still well within the processing time.
Unfortunately, MP does not have the authority to expedite immigration cases. Our office is able to inquire and obtain status updates with CIC on applications that are near the end of their processing time or have exceeded the standard processing time. In your particular case, you are still very early on in your application processing and therefore we would recommend waiting approximately 5-6 months before making an inquiry.
GRRRR
I found it more beneficial when I asked my MP pointed questions. I got the same run around as you did when I first contacted my MP, but I stayed on top of them. I specifically asked them to identify my "Bring Forward Date". Apparently this information should be available to any MP's office within 2 business days. When they gave me my "BFD" it helped ease the tension because I knew they were actively working on my file.pinay_juliet said:By the way, I emailed my MP for help to follow up. Probably because a lot of people don't seem to be able (or willing, or both), to RTFM. It's absolutely incredible to me to read some posts here of people asking how to immigrate, needing a complete run-down of where to even start getting the forms.DKA said:Boy that was a waste of time - why would they tell you the same thing you can that's posted up on the CIC's website?!?!?
This sounds familiar...Tiggilicious said:I thought I would introduce myself on this thread - from February 11 applicantsI got onto Ecas today saying decision made March 1. No letter yet
How do we find out when his file gets to Buffalo?
haha - yes, I am impatient! Nice to see u here too - lol!Rinnerz said:This sounds familiar...
You won't have confirmation of it being sent to Buffalo until you receive your sponsorship decision letter in the mail. It will tell you they've forwarded your file to Buffalo. As far as eCAS goes, it won't say anything for at least a few weeks, possibly even longer--not until Buffalo receives your file, opens it, and actually starts processing. Sometime around then or a little after, you'll get your AOR.
So you might not know for sure that it's there for another month, earlier if you're lucky.

AORs from Buffalo are typically received 2 to 4 weeks after sponsorship has been approved. When you know where you are moving, do a change of address at the post office and your mail will be forwarded.buffalo-toronto said:My case is similar in the sense, file rcvd by Feb 3rd and the decision was made on March 1 for sponsorship. I Qs I had was, the AOR is sent by email or snail mail and I will be shifting my apt. in next 1 month and might lose the mail that might come at my previous address. I cant even change my address and the file is not in Buffalo yet and I dont have any file, client number to identify myself with.
