My husband is at the consulate in Buffalo this morning to pick up his visa in person. They asked him to bring three additional photos.

Thanks for the info about the photos.

Well we dont know exactly what it means but as of this morning at about 2 am mountain time we have this

We started processing WMaitners application on August 6, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on WMaitners application. The office will contact WMaitners concerning this decision.

I am guessing it is positive... Will update when i know... \

Heather

Hi Heather,

Congrats on this good news to you and your husband.

Good morning everyone! Is it possible for me to email or call Buffalo to request my client id number before I receive AOR?

I spoke to my mother-in-law in Canada last night and she said maybe I should try to forget about the whole immigration process and not worry about it and it will happen before I know it. I agreed with her and told her it was a good idea. Well that idea lasted right up until I woke up this morning!! ::) I just can't get it out of my mind!

Thanks,
Nell

Is it weird that I log in to ecas just to look at the words "Decision Made" even though I don't know what the decision actually is. Anyone else do that?

Yes, I am in the same boat.

Hi Nell,
It is really hard for my friends and family to full comprehend the stress and worry that we fell over the immigration process. It's enough of a stress to move, let alone to a new country and then on top of that not knowing how long we will be waiting or even if we will be approved. My mother in law said the same thing, but it's just not possible. I haven't slept well since I started this whole thing. I started to grind my teeth at night for the last month. Exercise, practice deep breathing and talk to your significant other as much as possible. Hang in there, this too shall pass. We just have to endure it for now. And no as far as I know ou can't call to get your file number, due to the privacy act.

Thanks LJ. I know everyone on here understands. Apart from my husband (and I am lucky to be with him) no one else knows that we plan to move to Canada. Mainly because if my job found out they would treat me differently - human nature I guess. I have been with my employer for 9 years and feel bad that I will only be able to give them the 6 weeks notice they asked for in my contract. My husband doesn't get into the paperwork side of things and was quite happy to hand it all to me to do. I prepared his and my paperwork for Immigration. Admin is and has always been my thing but funny how when it is personal it takes on a whole new meaning.

I spoke to the school district where we are moving because I want to make sure my son has a spot in 1st grade next September. Their policy is that I have to show them proof that I can live in Canada. Of course I don't see that happening this year. They are going to see what they can do. I started crying just at the thought of the changes my son will have to endure - Kindergarten has been hard enough.

So, yes, lots going on behind the application process and much much more to come! All the best to everyone. Sorry I seem to be having an emotional day today and I just need to talk. I will try to not to bother you with too many posts today :)

Good morning everyone! Today I came to work wanting to wish everyone a happy day even though I knew I may not have the news I wanted. But I did not have time to do it right away because of work, etc. I finally had the time to check our e-mails and we had 2 e-mails from BUF time stamped at 8:31 am today.....It's PPR!!!! My knees shook and was about to scream for happiness but held it because I was and still am at work! Anyway, I just wanted to share that with all of you. Hopefully, everyone gets the same e-mail/letter before the long weekend. I am pretty sure the Canadian Immigration Office will be close on Monday for Thanksgiving.

Filled with happiness,

Cath

Amazing!!! Congrats!!! Lots of good news this week... ;D

This is one of the things I will be thankful for this coming Thanksgiving! :)
