Well I'm sure it actually GETS to Buffalo within a few days, but the problem is that they sit around in a backlogged pile for about two months before someone bothers to open it.

Oh, that's a long time! I feel like just driving my application from Mississauga to Buffalo and saying "here it is! look at it! I'll wait!"

Hahaha sooo true!!

Nothing in the mail. Hopefully Buffalo will email us on Monday.

According to a recent article in the Toronto Star, Buffalo approves 95% of its spousal sponsorship applications.

Thought we could all use that little piece of good news to keep in mind while we suffer through the endless waiting.

Did it mention anything about conjugal or does spousal include all three family class categories? (spousal, common-law, conjugal partners?)

Good to know....

Do you have the link by any chance?? Wow, if that's true... how beautiful of a statistic that is!

I am just curious for any of the Buffalo people that have gotten their PR approved. How long typically after receipt of the AOR (if one was received) did you get your passport request? Does the 4 month wait time posted online include that period or is it after receipt of this?

I find smaller "goals" are easier to wait for, lol. Right now waiting on the AOR, but I believe not everyone always gets this (please correct me if wrong), so I want to know what the next wait period might be like to mentally prepare myself.

My next "goal" right now is September 25 though when my hubby is doing the move (visit) up until PR is granted. We just spent the entire weekend selling all his furniture (other than a matress and a table/chair for his computer) on craiglist. His apartment looks so naked now, lol, we had a ton of buyers (yay, hehe).

Hey Dayanara... I think that most people get some sort of AOR.. whether it is in the mail or online. You're right that not everyone gets an ecas change, but I think most of us get the letter in the mail at some point (I'm still waiting on that, but I got an email with my file number).

I'm still HOPING to get PPR by the end of October but I'm thinking 'worst case' by the end of the year...

Any updates who filled in March?
I am waiting so badly for that PPR.............and still nothing.........getting fustrated. ???

after labor day lets hope everyone is done with vacationing and speed up our apps!!! sucks seeing other countries getting their PPR in like 3 months >:(! {but i am happy for those who did ;)}

I suppose if we had come over illegally on a boat that we would get the red carpet treatment! >:(

Are any of your partners planning to join you in Canada while you wait out the PR? My husband is wanting to come "visit" in October and then we will have him "flagpole" (is that the right term?) at Buffalo once he receives the PPR. Does anyone know how/(if) we can change his mailing address to our address here so that all correspondance from Buff he will be able to receive in Canada? Or since we are outland does this have to be a US address? I know someone has mentioned this before in a thread but I am still a bit confused. Can anyone please explain in more detail? I know that the timing of this is very important but still unclear and don't want to miss any important letters from Buff!

Thanks in advance!
