Actually, my husband did recieve his AOR July 22 saying they started processing July 14th, but now I'm impatient for the rest to be over. You guys can't be that far behind us ;)

OMG OMG OMG.... I checked... I have no idea why... we are "In Process" It is 2 am in Edmonton, and I know that I checked after business hours on Monday and there was nothing. Anyway... maybe the email I sent made a difference... I have no idea.... We are in process since August 6, 2010. YAY

Cross posted on May thread.

SaugaBoss: I think it takes an average of about 3-6 weeks. But I'm not sure. That's just what I have heard. Some may take longer. You know how CIC is...lol.

Ours changed to 'In Process' May 25. A month later we got a letter waiving the interview and saying that they were waiting for the med results (but acknowledged that the meds were done). Since then there has been absolutely NOTHING, and Ecas has never changed from 'In process May 25'. Everyone's timeline is different, but don't expect Ecas to change........it seems like a lot of people get their PPR and still no update on Ecas.

Regarding my earlier conversation with OnTheMove: I have been doing some searching on this site and it does seem to indicate that I will be sending my passport to LA when the time comes. So that's good :)

We went and got new fingerprints taken at Commissionaires. We had the electronic prints done, boy what a difficult time we had. Took about 25 tries to get my left ring finger printed to where it would accept the print as being high enough quality. I'm hopeful that this time, they may be able to use my prints that I sent in to the FBI. I guess we'll know in just 12 short (hah) weeks. In the meantime, I emailed Buffalo and advised them of my second rejection and that we were likely to miss the 90 day deadline and asked if there was anything else we can do in the meantime other then wait. We will see what they say.

I am confident that this time the prints will be good! Best wishes.

I got a letter today from CIC -they received my landing fee.
Nothing about the passport request :o :o :o

I wish I would get an acknowledgement...Canada Post can't even confirm that CIC received my final payment (it's been almost two weeks)...and the CIC "deadline" for sending it in has passed...I'm getting frustrated with everyone else's reasons for delaying my application!

I hope thats hope its short and sweet kerianne :) i mailed everything in but my FBI is expired by 2 weeks but CIC when i called them they said you have a 50/50 chance of them requesting a new one bc if you dont have charges they wont worry too much and might avoid another one :)!

dhdesigns: hmmm thats a long wait! did you confirm with ottawa that they meds were received? i would see whats up that is a while especially since ur interview was waived and all

frenchrock: is there a way i can pay the fees right now? like without them asking for it?

adetia9: wish u luck!!!!! i hope they're good this time! i hope there was some way for you to talk to someone at the FBI to expedite yours especially since you waited so long

Frenchrock, how did you find out the interview is waived?

its called an inital assessment letter...not everyone gets it. Plenty of people get PPR without one!

Basically they tell you that the initial assessment has been completed on your file and they do not see needing an interview. There's also several checkmarks on the page, whether or not they need any additional files, whether or not they need your medicals or RPRF (right of permanent residency fee)

Congrats to everyone who is seeing progress!!!
