Hi All,

My passport safely arrived back with PR visa!! Phew. Aren't planning to land for a few weeks though.
Good luck with everyone here waiting to progress.

Congratulation Lilac6.
When did you find out that the interview is waived?

When was dated your FBI clearence?
How can you get so quick an other one? Mine arrived in 9 weeks :(.

The FBI letter is dated February 1, 2010.

CPC-M received application on February 23 the first time and on April 19, 2010 the second time(app returned for missing signature).

Buffalo started processing on May 27.

I doubt they process another clearance so quickly. Just hope and pray it doesn't take 12 weeks, like it did the first time. :(

The letter that arrived today said there was no interview required and the medical results were in.

We got a letter in the mail today. They are requesting another FBI clearance. :(
I know I included it with our application, I have copies to prove it. Did they lose it? Do they want new ones because they expired? No explanation in letter, just that they want "original" letter or certificate. My husband emailed them asking for clarification but who knows when they'll reply.

They also want it within 90 days of June 29. :o It's another 12 weeks before we even get the letter again. WTF.

Time to pay for another set of prints, send them by courier and sit and wait for another 12 weeks. Wow.

Immigration is wearing me out.

I received my FBI clearence in 15 days... I followed the following link every step to the exact point.. check it out

When they request the passport are they mentioning the possibility of drop down in person?
Will they issue the visa in the same day?

Oh that's great, MSProgram. In replying to Cherlyn's question, yes, that was also how I found out there'd be no interview. It came about 1 month after they started processing at Buffalo.

When was this? A lot of people are saying that the FBI tells them they don't expedite anything anymore.

Big congrats!!

How long did it take from the time you sent your passport till it arrived back? Did they send it back by courier?

Thanks!

Thanks dhdesigns.
Apparently my passport arrived at Fort Erie on 25 June, left there on 2 July (and I guess Fort Erie collect passports from Canadian addresses and send them to Buffalo, then vice versa?) so it was 5 working days, not bad at all... Nope, Buffalo don't accept couriers :( From my personal experience I suggest - if you are in Canada - you'd stick to Canada Post Xpresspost (as to why Primary Next A.M is counteractive, read my post at the bottom of page 12 and laugh)

Lilac6 - thanks for the excellent advise re couriers!!! We are a couple weeks behind you and now that we have the letter the interview is waived, hopefully it won't be much longer till we get the passport request. Did your request come by post or email?

Thanks!
