I ended up calling 1-888-242-2100 (1,1,1,1,0) and talked to agent. She verified my stuff was paid for. She said basically send a copy of your receipt and a cover letter.

Prior to the call, I emailed both Los Angeles VO, and Ottawa. I just got this reply from LA.
So I emailed ottawa and told them to disregard my email.

I guess the LA visa office are sending out generic emails. Mine says the RPRF was a requirement.

Oh well, all is good.

60 days! we had 20! When was your medical done???

oh! and congrats! ;)

From the looks of it, it looks like they are starting to work on applications that received approval in May? I HOPE so!!! I cant seem to understand how they work the order but I guess it depends on the officer working on the application, it seems like some are getting their PPR faster than others!

anyone who is waiting since last year for their application to be finalized (mine was sent in end of Oct 2011) I would suggest contacting your MP. I did last week and they contacted Ottawa and they said my application was in process and they were still processing my medical results (which were sent in early May). Im not sure what the hold up would be re the medicals because Ive heard it only takes 8 weeks at the most to process them, anyone know why it would be taking so long??they didnt give anymore advice or information other than to wait!!! 10 months for a straightforward application!! :(

If I were waiting over a year for a straight forward application, you would bet your money on the fact that I would be writing the minister's office everyday until I got a response. I would attach a written letter from the applicant stating that the sponsor has permission to make inquiries on the case, all case assigned numbers (sponsor and applicant's F#) along with the applicants name, date of birth and state where they came from. The minister's office can make inquiries on cases and check to see what's going on. If waiting over a year or near enough to a year, I would skip the MP and go straight for the minister's office...they can get better results.

Agreed! I'd be writing to every person I could find... banging on doors... that's insane!

@Caledonia, we are in the same boat. I applied October 27, 2011. I conntacted my MP, they made an enquiry to CPP-O and I was advised that my application is in process, they are doing the Background check. OMG, who those how long the background check will take? I am tired of waiting, I am frustrated

Also, I'm on that spreadsheet twice, haha (lines 8 and 10)... you can probably remove the one on line 10 :P

I can understand! We are in the same boat, as well. We filed end of Sept 2011. Last communication from VO was December 28th. Inquired with MP's office but didn't find out too much information other than still in process with background checks and don't expect for it to be finalized before December at the very least and also that my request to the MP's office was "outrageous" (and I quote). It is quite frustrating. Just try to hold on to the fact that this journey ONE DAY will come to end ;) and let's just hope it's sooner rather than later...for all of us. All the best!

I'm also on board with you guys who have been waiting for a long time now. I filed my app in September 2011, was in process since April but no word yet. At least I'm glad that I'm not the only one!
