There's also a new Bulletin indicating that visa officers can now request an 12 month extension if the application processing is ready for approval witin 15 months of the original medical exam and the only thing stopping the application from final approved and PPR is the expiration of your medical results (or ability to reasonably land within the initial year-long validity).Calgary-Bound said:My experience with the medical extensionwas that I contacted my MP and she looked into it.The answer she got was that I had to have proof of being in Canada since I got my medicals done.So I had to send them copies of my work visa, bank statements, and stamps in my passport. They said if I wouldnt have been in Canada the whole time that I would have to redo the medicals.
I posted the bulletin over at http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/medical-exam-validity-extension-for-additional-12-months-new-cic-bulletin-t106229.15.html. Someone already reported using it to request that the VO request the extension (after they requested a new medical exam) and they agreed to do so ;D
