My wife just got her PR approved and is preparing to make the move up North. I/we have a question. How detailed does the list we need to provide for the customs when she is bringing her stuff over.
Does everything that is in a box need to be listed (i.e. does the title of each book need to be listed and its value)?
Any other pointers would be great.
Thanks
Richard

As all files are transferring to Ottawa so people living in America on temporary status or people who are not American citizen, how would they reach Ottawa for interview without Canada.visa...
They have to go through the process to get visa to enter Canada. That will take time....

Given that we are now able to extend our medicals and that the Buffalo office is closing, does anyone have a suggestion about how I should convey to CIC that if they don't send my passport back in the next few days that I need to extend my medicals? I've emailed CPP-Ottawa, but I doubt they will ever respond.

I got my PPR a month ago, sent photocopies of my passport (right away a month ago too), and now (while I was thinking I'd receive my COPR any day in the mail now), I've just received an email from the VO requesting a criminal check from Canada to continue the processing of my application...(I am currently visiting in Canada - but visa exempt)... so I guess I am not done...
