I feel for you, GetUsHome. Do you have any interview scheduled? Is your lawyer helpful or not?

Lordy I am suffering from bitter-sweet. It is so great to see that people are getting PPR (yeah you). But it sucks that we are still waiting. We ordered CAIPS again to see what is up. We really didn't want to spend another summer in the south but here we go again.

Congrats awor!! Finally!
Question, why is it in Calgary? I thought satellite office's only sent packages within the US. Oh well, at least its coming to you!

I'm in northern Alberta. The instructions said (if sent by courier) that they'd be returned via post office unless a postage paid courier envelope was included. It takes 2 weeks for my sister's priority mail envelopes to reach me (she sends me my mail), and I didn't want to wait that long.

CIC's unofficial motto: the only consistency cic has is it's inconsistency.

Even in the same satellite office, applicants are given different instructions.

Im still pulling for you and wish you the best.

At this point I consider a lawyer useless. No interview scheduled. So we will wait on the caips notes and see where we stand. I am just grateful we are together.

Is it OK that my medical gets in before I send in my application? I just made my appointment for next week and they said that they send it in within the week after.... thing is, that means they send it before I send the application on the 14th of May. Is this ok? Oh, and it's only gonna be $240! yay. Also, I need 6 passport size photos... where could I go to get these? (if anyone is in the Hamilton, ON area and knows, I'd appreciate it)

Kiri,
We had ours completed before we sent our app and it was fine. Ideally, you want to complete it as close to the date that you mail app if possible. I believe this is because the medical is valid for a period of one year. For passport pictures, we had ours done at Costco and they were ok, as well. Not expensive at all from what I remember.

My husbands medical went in before the application as well there is no problem with that, you will get the copy of the medical that you need to put in your application for them to match it up. I would go to shoppers drug mart, basically a pharmacy just bring the page with the photo specification with it ( yes they will be small)

Thanks guys. I don't have a photo page, they just want me to bring them so I'll just have to tell them I need it. Thanks.

And yeah, I'll be completing 2 weeks and 4 days prior to applying because I'm heading up north on the 1st so I need to before that.
