Can anybody help us with the email address of NYC office where we can email and enquire and expect a smooth reply.

All fees paid and extension sent! Woohoo! ...okay, so it's not as exciting as saying I got PPR, but it's the start of something!!

I went to the post office and it was all Vegreville is in the middle of nowhere so for $42 CAD we'll send it priority (which is Next AM/Overnight), but it still won't get there until Monday, and when I said I needed it there on the 30th, he said that sorry, there was nothing he could do for me - several times actually. ... I heard this and it was everything I could do to keep it together and not burst into tears in the middle of Shoppers Drug Mart (where a postal hub was). My CL looks up the UPS store on his phone and we go there to try them.... for $27 CAD we were able to send it to where it would definitely be there at least by end of business day on the 30th (which I have a notice to vacate by April 30th so it's getting there by 30 days)

Scheduling my medical next week for sometime in April while I get the rest of my package together to send in May. So close!! Nervous!

ecas says nothing , lol , , as always , only that application received and mailing address, which i updated a month ago and then got the email about the interview, what a coincident there :

I have the same ecas status as you. Lets see if i get an interview email soon, I think i will . Are you in Canada ? Or USA now?

If you're talking about extending your visiting, then don't worry. Mine didn't get there until about a week after the 30 days.And it took over a month for me to get something back. In fact I checked what day they were working on and it was a few days before mine was received and I received it that day.Also since I asked for only 6 months,I looked when it expired and it said march 30th,I started to panic thinking I had less than 30 days to leave, until I noticed it said 2013.

Homi, I'm in a similar situation as you. I'm a non-US citizen, have been living in the US for the past 10 years, always under F1, but my file got processed pretty fast. I dont think citizenship have that much of a bearing.. actually, i don know. Bufallo can be so random sometimes..

Thank you doghouse, I guess they are really random then. Did they waive the interview for you?

Hi,

I'm currently in Canada as a student and my student visa will expire on 30 July 2012.
We've submitted the PR application and are just waiting.
Hopefully they'll contact us soon.
Have anyone extended their student visa while waiting for the PR to be approved?

God bless the search function, and god bless the people who maintain and update this forum and especially this thread. I found eeeeeeelectric's PPR request post in this thread, he/she got it after the change, same form letter and same info, and was able to get COPR in person in Buffalo. YAY!!!

I checked my ecas today my app status changed to in process, I don't know when it happen cuz I check ecas like every one or two weeks...hopefully sth will show up in next gcms notes

Nope. Contents didn't change at all. Still received on July 11th2011, and medical result received.
Just title changed to in process from app received

Whew I requested until May 14, 2013 -- a year from when we will apply... which is one year and 2 weeks from the date I HAVE to leave (April 30, 2012)
