Thread for outland Buffalo applicants!

Well, after being transferred to NYC a few weeks back, we finally saw some action on our file... in the form of an e-mail from NYC requesting our CSQ.

So Buffalo apparently did nothing for 6 months, and lost our CSQ (or never received it in the first place).

The e-mail from NYC doesn't specify whether they want the original, or whether they will return it when they're done. Since the CSQ is actually used for a few things in Quebec (proof of residency, French classes), this has us a bit worried. Obviously I will make some copies of it and send it FedEx, but it would be ideal to be able to keep the original...

Has this happened to anyone else? What did you do?

Not from March, but I'm still waiting from February.

We did get an ECAS update, but it was "We started processing your application on March 23, 2011"... uhhh, I call BS since I've emailed Buffalo since them and was told that my application was "in queue". I'm getting so frustrated with the lack of available information and the obvious disregard to their "first come, first served" policy.

Same for me, more so I have to submit NJ state police cert. Although they did say my interview is waived and initial assessment is complete.

Now I'm just downright depressed. I have to leave Canada in a month and I don't foresee PPR or my new WP before then. Probably gonna lose my job. Thanks immigration. :'(

News from CIC receiving the application from June 30. We've received an AoR on the applicant's side. Very pleased and grateful for that receipt notification.

So thus far, they've received it on June 30, we got sponsorship approval on August 31 and today on October 4 they've given the applicant an AoR. Certainly we have many more months to wait, but I'd thought it was good to share what we have so far.

HOLY MOTHERLOAD OF EXPLETIVES!!! I GOT PPR!!!!!!! You guys must send STRONG sympathy vibes LOL!!!! OMG OMG OMG It came by the mail in a huge envelope and my hubby called me at work, opened it and read it to me. I started jumping up and down and crying hysterically in front of the entire office!!!!

I haven't seen the documents yet but OMG!!! THE NIGHTMARE IS OVER!!!

...Now to get them my passport and get it back before I have to go home in Nov! Good thing I didn't buy airline tickets yet! I'm driving home, baby!!!!!

PPR!

I got my passport request yesterday. Ecas still shows application received, there was no in progress status. I feel little guilty given there are so many of you still waiting that applied before me but I am very happy and getting ready to reunite with the family

Yeah I'm a bit surprised that there was no email either, but at this point I could care less! haha! Congrats to pdb1 too!!
