Every DMP is so different and some of them really screw people over in a bad way. I mean.. what's the point of having a designated doctor if they don't know what the &^%$ they're doing in terms of the paperwork?

Just checked E-CAS and my app is "In Process" at Buffalo as of May 18. Took roughly 6 weeks from the time it was transfered from Mississagua to Buffalo to start processing and another week for ECAS to update the info.

We are planning to file in June, I have my medical setup for the 21st.

Family Class, myself USC, husband Canadian and then our kids USC and we are applying for their Certificate of Citizenship for Canada.
My fingerprints have not come back yet, has anyone filed without them?

I am really hoping to move by the end of October. We are in WI. No prior marriages, married 13 years in October.

We filed without the FBI prints but that was on May 5 so we havent received word of sponsorship approval yet. The FBI check came back much faster that we anticipate - 6 weeks, so I am not sure where to send the report - Mississauga or Buffalo (Im afraid of them getting lost).

We have been married 12 years in October, no prior marriages, 1 child and we are in Michigan. We are planning our move for the first week in August so I am nervous.

I am also applying outland through Buffalo
Spouse in Quebec
I am from Minnesota
Application sent 5/26
I did not include my FBI check, but included state backround checks and a leter with proof that I had filed for my FBI check 2 months ago and still have not recieved it.
I will let everyone know when I have an update

When I did my medical the DMP requested 5 photos. He said he needed 1 to attach to the X-ray, 1 for the lab results, 1 for the medical paperwork, 1 for my copy (copy 2) of medical report. The 5th photo was used for the DMP's personal records. It is best to bring more than needed than not have enough photos. I hope this helps clear up why you need so many photos.

Oh if you get to move in August, perhaps we could get lucky and maybe in September (if your timeline goes that way).
We need to sell our house before we can move... which is probably the most stressful thing of all this - we might end up in a rental for a while if it sells before we get our approval back.

I find it odd that so many of you are planning a move when none of us actually know when Buffalo will finish our request. I am hopeful but me and my wife are not planning anything until she gets her visa in her hands. I guess we do not want the frustration of broken hopes and plans
