Sorry I missed your post, Alex121. Going by your dates, it looks like you're actually a September applicant, but I can definitely add you to the table if you want. Would you happen to know or remember any exact dates that I could use to put your details into the table? (If not, I can just enter your dates as ??/MM instead, but it won't be as complete.) I'm sorry to hear about all the additional documents they've requested of you; hopefully you'll hear something soon.

EDIT: I've added you to the existing table, using the info you've given me. If I'm still maintaining the table by the time the next update is due, I can add in more exact dates for you then (if you have them).

passport request was feb 24 but we actually got the letter march 15 and march 18 my representative sent some documents and march 28 I sent in passport criminal record for costa rica, Now I have a question my husbands medicals are going to expire august 10 my rep says that cn extend it for 3-6 months is this true, or am I going to have to redo them as well my case is more compex becaus my hubby had to apply for ARC, well rinnerz if you need any clarification on the dates or if am missing something let me know

Now I have a question my husbands medicals are going to expire august 10 my rep says that cn extend it for 3-6 months is this true, or am I going to have to redo them as well my case is more compex becaus my hubby had to apply for ARC, well rinnerz if you need any clarification on the dates or if am missing something let me know

1) Thanks for getting back to me so soon. I was able to edit the table again, with your exact dates . (After a post gets old, it can no longer be edited, but apparently my table post was still new enough for me to edit it for you again.)

2) Your representative is correct, in that they do SOMETIMES extend medicals. It doesn't happen very often for outland applications, though. My consultant also told us that if they extended, it would be by 3-6 months. However, you really won't know if they extend or make you redo the medicals until they tell you; there's no way to know for sure. For us, they extended them -- and by almost 11 months! They had already approved me for PR and were ready to issue my visa before my medicals expired, though. So you never know. Best thing I can say is just to wait for instructions from them, because you don't want to spend time and money on redoing the medicals, just to find out you didn't have to.

@ medellinguy and jiyamano: Congrats! . There is no "Visa arrived" column in our table, but I eagerly await when I can mark you guys as "landed"! Only a matter of time now.

Alex thanks for the best wishes. I was in same boat as you. My medi. were expiring on 27 Aug. and i submitted my passport on 2 Aug. I emailed my VO regarding my medi. expiry date. They said they will try their best to issue visa before the date.
In 1 day i got my passport back and tomorrow i am flying to Canada. I wish you all the good luck and hope to c u land in Canada soon.

I have an update everyone, the vo contacted me and asked if my hubby was able to fly to canada before august 10 becasue his medicals are expiring that day unfortunately we dont have enough time and as well we do have a 3 yr old child and dont wanna rush things, so the lady said we will be sending passport with forms to redo medicals once this is complete and we have recieved the new medicals and passport we will then issue visa, I am know one step closer to the end everyone who is still waiting dont give up your turn will come soon

THANK YOU , and thats the bad part but we dont have money for my husband to land and then go back and finish his stuff here plus like I said we have a baby and I feel bad putting him in this rush as well I havent even gone to travel or met some og my hubbys family because they live far and no money and we didnt know how much longer we would be here for but atleast we know we are near and this journey will be over soon
