Hello everybody! How's the waiting going for you?
I haven't been posting much lately, but I'm always checking this post (and the October one) for good news!

To all the November applicants... Good luck and a strong wave of positive thinking!
Especially to all the couples who are going through this process being apart from each other.

To whom is keeping the list up-to-date (Canadayogini, I suppose), I sent my application on Oct, 29th.
(I noticed almost everybody gave that piece of information and I never mentioned it)

Waiting is difficult when you feel your life is in limbo...with your future in someone elses hands! Oh well, keeping busy and trying not to dwell on it too much!

November thread is a bit quiet so far but then Mississauga hasn't even looked at any of our applications yet so probably not a lot to talk about. I think we are all just breathing a sigh of relief that the paperwork is done for now.

Good luck to you too...I am sure the action will pick up here soon!

Wait has been OK ... our only issue is my husbands 'Visitor Visa' Expires in 4 weeks, we did apply for an extension, but its our third one, so We are NOT sure what to do if he gets declined, Just stay here? any advice? I'm not letting him leave! haha

They will likely look at our applications in the next couple of weeks, and send out letters a week or so after, with us actually getting them a week or so after that.

I'm betting somewhere around 12/15, some/many of us will know, either via letter, or if our eCas magically starts working. It starts working as soon as Mississauga accepts, prior to sending the app to our local visa office, correct?

Hi! New here. We sent our application away on the 9th of november and it was received on the 19th. I don't really know what the propor terms are (inland, outland etc) but we sent it to Canada and then it will be sent to london after that. Both my husband and I are living in the UK. He's british and I am Canadian.

Hope it is quick, I'm pretty homesick!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone,

I've been a serial lurker, reading October and November boards...but we are now ready to send off our application! And I hope to be a member of this board.

I'm a Canadian living and working in the UK for the last 11 years, I've been with my husband, who is English, for just over 5 years and we've been married for 2 and a half. We have a son who is not quite 2 and another on the way (possibly a Christmas baby). After much thought we decided we'd like to raise our family in Canada...and the fact that I miss my family like crazy! 11 years is a long time to be away (visits every couple of years just isn't enough anymore). So papers all assembled...the time has come to get the ball rolling.

My question is for Jen85...or bumbledbee,
Which courier company did you use to send your application to CPC-M? I've looked a few and think I'm going to send it Royal Mail ...they have 2 options, International Signed For, which seems to track the package but only within the UK and not the destination country...but then I guess it is signed for on the other end. The other option is Airsure, which is a day faster (4 days) but you only get confirmation of delivery. Mainly I just want to know the package arrives safely, and since your's arrived quickly and safely I was hoping you might be able to give some advice.

Woohoo!!!! ;D ;D ;D I'm proud to say that I am a memeber of this thread. I sent my application in Sept but they received it Oct 4th. I, although it's immigration Canada's fault, made a mistake and paid the wrong place. Finally today my dad, my representative, just told me they received everything. So add me to the list and I wish you all good luck.

I know you didn't ask whitehorsejk but I suggest Fedex. I sent it from China and Mississauga recieved it 2 days later when it was supposed to be 3 days 8). 2 days from China to Canada is pretty impressive. I don't know how some do it either I live with my wife but for you guys out there living apart it must be hard. I just try to keep my mind on other things and take things as they come.

Hello all! I've been lurking on here for a few months and we were finally able to send our application out on 11/16 and it was received on 11/17. I'm from the USA but am staying in BC right now with my partner on a 9 month visitor record. Just arrived in mid-October. We're doing the common law application, as we lived together for almost 3 years in the US. We would have filed it months ago if we hadn't had to wait for that FBI report, which took over 2 months to receive.

Has anyone received any confirmations of receipt yet? I wasn't sure if we'd get something like that or if we wouldn't hear from them until the sponsorship approval, which they say is taking about 41 days at this point.

I used Parcel Force...who use Fedex. Actually cheaper than going to Fedex directly. I looked at using the Royal Mail but I was concerned that it might get lost...paranoid I know but I didn't want to redo it!! It was supposed to be next day delivery but it took 2 days...at least it got there safely.

Vvargus, the website says they are presently looking at Applications received October 15th so no I don't think they have looked at mine yet. Shouldn't be too long forr us to find out about sponsorship. I think Pharoh is right as I would expect to hear something about mid Dec.

Royal mail international recored delivery. It was about £11, but took about 10 days to get there.
