Hello all

I've been watching this thread for some time now and never posted. Today, though, I felt the need to add my info.

Our application for permanent residency for my spouse was received in Mississauga on November 24. Sponsorship was approved on Dec 23 and our Ecas has remained as "application and medicals received" for the past few weeks (outland through the London office). We were expecting it be at least another few weeks before we moved to "In Process" Today however, my husband received his PPR!!!!!

Fantastic news!!! We are both very relieved!

London is obviously working fairly fast... in some situations. Best of luck to all other November applicants.

Just checked the CIC website, application processing is complete! They haven't sent any instructions to my husband yet, so we can only assume we've been approved. They only took two days to make a decision.
I'm sooooo excited!

OMG!!!! Congratulations!! That is exciting news and fast! You must be over the moon!!!

Welcome glasgowcanuck! Great news for you too! Wow, I am impressed. Come on London!!!

I am beyond excited. And absolutely bricking it! It was fine to say I was moving, but now it's reality, it scares the crap out of me!
I bet you will hear something from london soon too.

Oh I hope so...getting worried!! Don't worry, moving will be fine although I know the feeling...I have wobbly times when I wonder if we are doing the right thing. Celebrate...the wait is over for you!!! I soooo pleased for you guys!!

YAAAY London!! Congratulations everyone....reality is so exciting!! Take your lives off hold woop! I knew mine wouldnt be as quick as I have quite the background check as I worked at sea for such a long time :( :o but on a positive note its nice to know that the officers are looking at our files and making quick decisions. jen85 its gonna be us soon yippeee!!

Did you guys receive an email or via post? I try not to check ecas as everyone says its so unrealiable, if it was email what was the address you received it from? Did it go to the sponsor or applicant? ooo so exciting!

The PPR went to my husbands email address he put on his application.. not mine.

E-Cas hasn't worked so well for us - since sponsorship was approved we haven't seen much action.

On another note, we didn't actually receive our sponsorship approval letter - It was lost in the post somehow... so this is the first correspondence we've had regarding our application at all...

I checked with CIC today. The eCas tracker hasn't even emailed yet. My husband should be getting an email today. He's at work, so I can't call him every 5 minutes like I want to to ask him if the email has come yet.

I thought ours would be pretty straight forward...wrong again. Lets hope we hear something soon...now where's my wine????........ Fabulous news for everyone and I am truly pleased for them but can't help sinking into a bit of a depression here...oh well...see what tomorrow brings.

Congraulations Londoners!!!

Jen85, I have a good feeling about your application. It should be any day now!!!

There's more activity in October... a couple more Buffalo applicants got PPR. They seem to be picking up the pace.

DKA & others.... WE SHOULD BE PPR ANY DAY NOW!!!

i really hope so Pharoh...im kind of tiring of the word soon lol...

Remember its ECAS tuesday tommorrow!

Have to try and keep positive!! Easier to do with a couple of glasses of wine!! lol Thanks Pharoh...I know you are desperate for good news too and we are all in the same boat. Although I do have an advantage in that I am living with my partner so I should stop complaining! If I wasn't I truly would be climbing the walls.

I really really am so pleased for everyone that received excellent news today...but the little green monster is peeking out a bit...I am beating it back with a stick!! lol There is always tomorrow and as my mother tells me...no news is always good news. I hope she is right.

So, I finally got the letter that Pharoh and DKA received. It's dated Feb. 22, 2011 and says the same thing as theirs - that an interview is not needed, no additional documents needed and they have received my medicals. :D

Congrats TreeLover. Let's hope we all get PPR soon.

As I understand it, after initial assessment, comes queue for final assessment, right? We should go right from one pile, into the last pile, with no in-between pile? I hope so.

The wait sure is starting to take it's toll on me. After having the two month delay because we forgot to include something on our initial submission back in October and then finally getting sponsor acceptance mid January...I was hoping Buffalo would be a bit faster but we're almost two months after sponsor approval and we haven't heard anything. Am just thankful my wife could come visit for three weeks in February as it's really hard being apart.
