mine was transfered the 22 i guess and they started processing the 24th...
it's been on ecas for the past 3 weeks.

i doubt it was that quick, mine was transfered on 15 th and started processing on 29th

Hey BritinCanada!

I don't doubt your "in Process" will be shown next Tuesday. However they could start working on it in 2 days! as mine was started on the 8th (5 days ago) but only updated as in process today!

I hope so..I did get good news in the mail though..I have been authorized to remain in Canada as a Visitor until Aug 2011..if my process takes that long!!

Yup, my app was filed May 3rd, Sponsorship approved June 8th and I haven't had any news yet from Buffalo. I am thinking I will hear back next Tuesday if that's when they update.

today i recievied the email from mexican visa office asking me for a missing documents .one of the documents are asking me is : Certificate of Selection from Quebec. what is that ?

RECEIVIED THE EMAIL FROM MEXICO CITY VISA OFFICE THAT MEANS MY AOR.THE MAIL SAID THAT MY APPLICATION CANT BE START PROCESS BECAUSE WAS IMCOMPLETE AND I HAVE TO SEND THE INFORMATION THAT I FORGET :

HAVE I TO SEND JUST THE PAGES WHERE IS THAT INFORMATION OR ALL THE APPLICATION AGAIN? NEED I UPDATE THE SECTION 11 UNTIL PRESENT ?

Update: Thread for MAY 2010 applications!!

I am a Marketing Manager working in Manila , 35 , my husband hails from Quebec, 43 an Information Analyst We submitted to CIC May 3, Manila started to process May 18.. Now July 13 ECAS said decision made, medical results received We really hope to get back my passport with visa stamp within the week .. Good luck to us all

@ Veronica55, congratulations! It's very entertaining and enlightening to read messages that cic manila have been approving fast!!!

@ Britincanada, it is very sweet that they approved ur stay until next year! No need to worry about overstay

@ hoples, I recently submitted the first page where i missed out some details of the 4 paged form as requested by cic, hopefully it might work for u. for the certificate of selection from Quebec, if ur sponsor is living in quebec or intend to live in quebec, u have an additional step for approval.
Sponsors living in the province of Quebec who wish to obtain further information on the province's sponsorship requirements should contact the Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés culturelles.

Ahhhh... if only this were so for all of us 'May' people.... Reading Veronica55's past posts they state they submitted in March and their application was transferred in May to Manila so they are technically a March applicant. Sad for us 'May' people, but fantastic for them!

I'm also in Quebec...the selection certificate is a separate part of your sponsorship application. You apply for this after CIC accepts you as a sponsor (or the person who is the sponsor, if you are the principal applicant) This is done through the MICC. An additional fee of $250.00 is required and other doc. must be filled out (in French) Then you wait about 20 business days (1 month) for Quebec's refusal or approval before your application is sent to the appropriate Immigration office!!! Hope that's clear!

An Update On My File:
I'm sponsoring my husband from Barbados, I'm a Quebec resident, Port Of Spain (Trinidad & Tobago) is my husband's Immigration office...
I Sent our application out on May 6, 2010, received the acceptance letter from CIC on June 7, 2010, was asked to apply for a selection certificate from Quebec's MICC Office, got the acceptance letter from MICC yesterday, July 13,2010...sent Trinidad an update that my husband is visiting me from June 20-October 30 along with a photo copy of his stamped passport as proof today...now the real waiting begins!!!
Blessings everyone...we will all be finished with this stress soon...SMILE!
(he's here for the birth of our baby...in September...we will apply for a visitor extension around then)
