no new either for me got a letter of AOR on June 23 ish

>:( Nothing for us either. Can't stand how long this takes. We are in the process of packing everything so that I (sponsor) and our daughter can move so that she can start school at the end of August. My DH is going to stay here until the visa is issued but at this rate we have no idea how long this is going to take. :(

Hey guys - I need to bounce this idea off you and see what you think!

Couple of weeks ago, we got the good news that wife is pregnant, now...THIS WEEK CIC-ND office will start procession my application.

I'm thinking of sending/emailing the doctors note that states her condition and expected date of delivery! I know on the in-land application, there is a question that asks if you or spouse are pregnant!

Now, I understand that this will not speed-up my process...I'm wondering should I do this proactively when they open/working my app...it sure does make a relationship genuine....perhaps, it could accelerate the process?

What do you guys this....could it hurt or help??

Please n thnx!

Congrats minku9!!
They say it doesn't speed up the process. However, I mentioned it in my husband's application...I don't think it hurts to include the proof!!
Best of luck!

Congrats Minku9 I personally would let cic know and send them proof...I am pretty sure this should make your case stronger...and I am sure you are supposed to tel CIC of any changes in your 'family' :D

Thanks Brit!!! now, would u suggest emailing them a letter from the doctor....they should open/start processing my app this week....I have a client ID and all .....any suggestions?

I would wait until it says "in process" on E-CAS..

Although you want to be in Canada for as much of your wifes pregnancy as possible you have to keep focused on the fact that the objective here is to obtain PR through providing as much proof as possible to prove you are in a genuine continuous relationship and that the whole process is not a race!

There are millions of people from different countries applying for PR every year..and a percentage of them are bogus relationships whether they be from the UK, US, Australia, china etc..it is our Job to convince the IO we do not fall into that category, because until we can prove this fact, each and every applicant is viewed as a potential bogus applicant...and the difference between you getting PR and not getting PR maybe this additional proof that you are starting a family together...That is my reason for saying yes submit this info..New Delhi is a pretty fast visa office anyway and would be surprised if you are not in Canada before your child is born! :D

finally, i sent the passports and additional requirements this morning. aor dated july 6 and was received july 15. it got stuck for a week at the post office >:(

what additional docs were u asked for? thnx!

Has anyone going through Buffalo had ecas change to 'in process' yet?!?!

Nothing today so far... It is so frustrating why Buffalo is so slow, especially when we see other visa offices starting processing. I noticed from the April thread that there are Buffalo people who still havent switched to "processing"

@missmyhoney = hey what docs were u asked for, if u dont mind me asking....thnx!

Re: Buffalo

This process makes me think that we can't really believe anything that is on the CIC website regarding processing times. Supposedly slow offices (like Accra) are suddenly super fast, and supposedly fast offices (like Buffalo) are moving at a snails pace! I assume Buffalo has a huge load of applications. I'm hoping you are all 'in process' by the end of July!

Hey May Friends! I love asking immigration people questions. They are clueless. Remember my paperwork got return to us on July 5th and we sent it back out on July 5th with the corrected issues. Well my wife called them and they said it goes back into the queue, no special treatment. Well e-case tracker sent me a email today stating, "Your e-CAS just got activated for the first time" and "We sent you a letter on July 13, 2010 about the decision on your application". So now patiently waiting for the letter. So it took about 60 days for us total. Which I will take 60 days compared to what the immigration people were saying!! I want to jump up and down with joy, but I don't want to yet till we now for sure she is approved to sponsor.

I'd think they need to say no special treatment, because someone on the phone can't really say what will happen when someone else touches the paper. It's sorta like the person at the FBI saying it'll be mailed in 1 week and it arrives the next day. :(
