Still no AOR from Buffalo I am expecting to hear around July 14th or so based on other folks' timelines. It's fun to be leading the pack!

i logged in on ecas just now, says they received application to sponsor on may 26 and sent a letter on june 24. now i feel more restless. hope that letter come soon and bring good news. jillandmat, u might have yours soon, i was able to access it by using the sponsor's details.

Decision made june 23 approved as sponsor

So what are the nexts stepS? and how long does it take for buffALO?

Hey - wife called and they confirmed she has been approved a sponsor and file transfered to new delhi....starting wait again....good luck to all!

Well I got my approval letter yesterday and ecas still doesn't have anything specific about a file transfer. The letter did say it was forwarded to Buffalo, but ecas didn't.. so that doesn't mean that you weren't approved if you don't see it on there.

Apparently b/c i am outside of Canada they can't tell me..

I asked the BA office.. and they said they dont deal with sponsorship applications and to contact the mississauga office....

really i am caught in a limbo

Last week I got the update in the middle of the night on Thursday.. but a lot of people get updates on Tuesday.

Try not to worry.. the sponsorship part is the 'easy' part most of the time, and you're still well within the 'normal' range in terms of getting notification

what are part 2 and 3?

and wouldnt it pretty much be guaranteed that you will get PR if they pass you as a sponsor?

Not really.. the sponsorship is the easiest part by far. To be a sponsor you just have to prove you are a Canadian or a PR who isn't a criminal and lives/will live in Canada.

The PR part is where your prove your relationship is genuine, and this is why most people are turned down. My PR application was about three times as large as his sponsorship application, not counting the additional evidence.
