Ok so I just called the call centre and my application is opened....so hopefully today is my day!!! Hopefully I get the email as I work later on!!!

hello everyone, I am new here, I sent my application in March , it was received March 18th, Still not heard anything. anyone else in that time frame. Maybe its because of the long easter weekend, little bit about me, American married to Canadian, applied outland living in the ontario area with husband at this time.
One question , if someone knows the answer when you go to check application process time, and view online status , can you use your receipt that you paid for your fees to see if your application is in process or anything? I believe its the IMM5401 receipt form, wheer you paid online.

Yes, you can use your receipt number.

I'm also March 18 ! I can login to check the online status which said Decision Made but I'm still waiting for my letter in the mail ! (no email for some reason...) Maybe it's due to Easter weekend as you said.

GRRRRRRRRR My husband who is the applicant can log into Ecas with the same information I am trying to...He can get in but I can't....

He says in process, but to put my mind at ease I wanna see it..... :'( :'( :'(

I wonder if they mean applications that have been received in Buffalo in march (so february applicants who've gotten sponsorship approval already), or march applicants who are just getting their sponsorship approval.

I would think the latter. Either way this sucks no wonder I haven't received a notice that my application has been forwarded and received in Buffalo

Great news! If you don't mind me asking, how did you hear about this? Were you notified, by email, letter post, on ecas, or did you call up the help line?
Also would calling the help line to enquire on the status delay the process in any way? I haven't heard ANYTHING from the CIC and am going insane with all this waiting.

Finally get some information that I can use to log in.... ;D

Called again this morning and this time was given my client ID number and guess what it works!!!! Still in process since 4/26/2011....

they sent an email yesterday informing my husband that he was approved for sponsoring me, and telling him to fill some new forms since we're applying to quebec province..
yes as i know calling the help line could delay the process .. i hope you hear good news in the next few hours

Can anybody say why exactly calling the line would delay the process? Don't they get what we are going through!
Does the same thing go for trying to check online?
