Congratulations!!!.... No, I haven't heard from them since we submitted our passport.

@ calgary_flames : can you please tell me how they asked you for passport: phsical mail or email or telephone
and after how many days they asked for it after they started processing your file in india

They sent a letter next day they started processing our application. Then sent a physical letter even though we provided them email to communicate.
You should get letter within a week asking for passport so get ready for the passport and arrange a courier stuff too.

They will ask you for three things
1-Passport
2-Landing fee if not paid already
3-PCC if not submitted already

We attached a cover letter and explain that we already paid landing fee and already submitted PCC.

they havnt send me any letter informing that they had started processing my application. its all good atleast they had started it. ;D

My file was transfered to Buffalo on Mar-29. I got email from them that they received my file and started processing on Apr-27.

Good day . My husband is a Canadian from Quebec. We got married last Dec 2009 and submitted our application to the CIC last March 3, 2010 . Last May 6, we checked the status of our application at the CIC website and it says there that " the CIC have sent us a letter via post and we have to wait a few days to receive it ".. Oh ! But they did not say that the application to sponsor me ( as my husband's wife ) is approved . The letter is supposed to tell us that we can proceed to step 2 - Quebec Selection Certificate .. Anyone who have experienced this ? How long would it take at this time , to get our CSQ to accomplish step 2 ? After this , my visa request will be on step 3 - processing in Manila, Philippines.. Anyone who can inspire or share more info with regards to waiting time for Canadian embassy in Manila ? I will appreciate any ideas .. Again, I wish all who in their hearts is really on their soul to re unite with their spouse or family in Canada. Good luck to all of us Lets think positive, do good and pray We are blessed !
