This can't be right, Your PR status was changed when they opened your file in Tokyo. You may want to follow up with them again. Good luck CF

It does not hurt to send them an email and ask about status of your application.

If your case is straight forward and you have provided enough evidence to prove your relationship you should get your visa in couple of weeks. ;D

It was from Speed Post, They mailed our passport with wedding photos on May 26 and it was received in Pune on June 1. On their email to us they mentioned that it take about 8-10 days. Cheers CF

Thanks for the good wishes, They replied the same day we received our passport (our ecas was also updated same day). They can take about 2-3 weeks to reply. - Good luck CF

I would suggest you to send it through Blue Dart, it only cost 250 INR

My wife never traveled outside of India and I think its the same case for ucalgary... I would suggest you to send them an email inquiry.

I think you should send them email inquiry, our application was received in Mississauga on March 02 and they had approved my sponsorship on March 24. Keep in mind that every case is different so time line will change depending on complexity of the case. Good Luck...

Thank you very much guys, We got the visa same day. They also returned our wedding pictures and invitation card.They issued a visa on May 25 and they had received our passport on May 02.

Thanks very much Bro, They also replied to our email inquiry and said that they approved the PR application and mailed the passport on May 26,2010. I am sure we should it get it today or tomorrow.

ND ask to submit a passport right after they start working on your file, your letter should be on its way. Also, try not to send via Speed Post...

They must already have done background check for you therefore it should be quick for them to issue a visa to you... ;)
