Nope, I've not had any contact from Canada House. I'm sure it's a good thing though - probably just letting you know that they're almost there with your app or just a simple request for clarification. I'd be trying to call or email them back if that happened to me.

I too ticked the box on the application form about them contacting me by email so I'm hoping I'll get that first.

On Saturday it will be 2 months since CHC London received my application. Feeling very apprehensive right about now. C'mon these butterflies are getting out of hand.

cant believe you still havent heard anything! I thought your ecas says decision made? Mine still says application received! I have a feeling we are all going to get our PPRs at the same time.

Hi Shandymoo

Not too complicated, the wrinkle is that I have dual Australian/UK citizenship and my sponsor has dual US/Canada citizenship! So he lives in the US
and I reside (for CIC application purposes) in the UK as it is nearer to hop back to for an interview than Sydney (if required) and I can maximise my time with my sponsor in the US!

Regards

More an unplanned consequence! Yes, my sponsor is moving to Canada on June 1st and I hope to be going with him as a PR! We applied as common-law partners.

Thank you Aliew, msidgz,AKGAZ and arunsgirl, it was indeed a special birthday gift. I started the process thinking it will take 6months or more like some other people whose application went through Accra but alas it came earlier in 2months and a week and I am so happy because i will finally get to be with my Hubby :D :D :D. Preparing to take off once i send in my resignation.

So I wanted to take a moment to say something good about CIC and our visa office - now we don't have the PR yet, so knock on wood this doesn't jinx us.

But...

The VO requested the police clearance and said in their email "Israeli police certificates are sent directly to our office by the Israeli Police. We will not reply to requests to confirm whether or not we received the certificate . If we have not received it in a reasonable time we will send you a second request, you may otherwise ASSUME we received the certificate"

Today, they sent us a lovely little email saying
"Dear Sir,
Israeli PC received
Sincerely
Visa Section
Tel Aviv"

I was very pleasently surprised. I mean, they didn't need to say anything (and in fact told us they weren't going to notify us) and yet they did, so we can stop worrying about this issue - now it's back to waiting for the next step and worrying about something else.

Congratulations palomadiego and happy birthday!!

And that's great AlieW - at least you know they're working on your application! I haven't heard anything yet, but from what I've heard that's pretty typical for the Paris office. Someone in December didn't hear anything, just got the passport request when everything was finalized, so I'm kind of hoping no news means its good news!!

FAO London people!

MandP got their PPR yesterday, they were one of the last from December so it should be our turn very soon!!!

Look at pinklady's wonderful spreadsheet if you haven't already! :D

Wow - that's quite the spreadsheet!

I find myself sometimes stressed because I haven't found any one else going through the same VO as us and thus have no point of reference. However, I fear that having a spread sheet like this where I would be constantly comparing our application to everyone else and their timelines would give me heart palpitations. Especially when someone who submitted there application after me got the PPR first (which inevitably happens).

@kaycee1 - I agree, I think no news is good news.

Thanks Kaycee1 and good luck to all of you. Hopefully you will hear good news soon.

Congrats once again Paloma, pray we get ours really soon too. We got an email from them yesterday asking for some docs. I think they have more hands working in Accra now, we were expecting to get a correspondence from them at the end of the month.
Wishing everyone God's favour in their applications...
