I have some good news and some bad news today! I got my visa (or rather my mum at my english address did -.-;) however they misspelled my middle name so it's had to be sent back, any ideas on how long that will take?

minor update..

For those who are trying to immigrate and have children from a previous marriage or common law relationship.. you are required to have 100% custody and have a court document stating that you do. When I say 100% custody, i mean 100% custody. Split custody will not be enough.

I am wondering if the children are not accompanying me then I don't need to show the 100% custody right?? We have a joint custody of them but they will be staying with my ex husband in the States. I have enclosed the divorce decree that stating of our joint custody. I hope they are not going to ask for my 100% custody cuz I don't have it and they are not coming with me. However, they have taken the medicals and are included in the applicaiton as UNACCOMPNAYING dependents.

and the wait for Buffalo goes on and on.

Lilac6 - I saw you're note from a couple weeks ago re: our timelines being very similar - and also see you've updated your timeline with a passport request - I'm hoping I'm right behind you. I wish I had applied through London - I live in Bermuda so I had a choice of Buffalo or London - picked Buffalo in case I had to go for interview. What a mistake - I'd probably be done if I had gone with London ! No matter, I'm hopeful it will come through before my planned arrival date in September .... otherwise Plan B will have to prevail !

Good luck all

BC Ready – yes I got PPR by email on 16 June (I’ve been mainly yacking on Buffalo thread). After we emailed on 27 May and advised they should find Statutory Declaration in our original package, they emailed back on 9 June to confirm they indeed had it and that our file was with IO for final review. If you sent the requested Statutory Declaration soon after your previous post at the end of May, it shouldn’t be long before they’ll finish up with your case. I hope you’ll hear good news very soon.

The joke with us was, we never chose Buffalo ourselves (among Tokyo, London or Buffalo that I could have chosen, Big B had the longest processing time on average, and I’d have needed anyway to travel long if interview had been required). Seems there can always be a blessing in disguise :)

Excellent news. I better start checking my junkmail as I gave them a hotmail address - which in retrospect was a bit daft on my part !

I'm also going to Canada on vacation next month and I'm hoping having a permanent resident application pending isn't going to cause me any issues clearing immigration ! Anybody had any experience with that?

Hi Everyone,
I'm well into this process, and JUST stumbled onto your forum... can't believe i haven't found it before, and thanks to all of you for starting it... great support system for all of us going through the same process...

To bring you up to speed:
(I'm Canadian citizen, husband Serbian citizen)
Going through an "Out of Canada" Application - both my husband and I are in Serbia (Europe) at the moment as we couldn't be separated anymore....
Application Rec'd CPC-Mississauga: February 16, 2010
Decision Made: March 10, 2010 - got a letter so can follow online.
File transfer and In-Process CIC-Vienna: March 31, 2010 - NEVER GOT ANY LETTERS FORM THEM - only found out the in process when i logged on to CIC.GC.CA to check
Request for additional info: April 13, 2010 - we sent this one via email immediately, but then followed up a month later with a hard copy as we never got a confirmation of receipt....

SINCE THEN NOTHING!

I'm so frustrated at this point, as i can't wait for my husband and I to return to Canada, and i have changed my return flight 4 times by now (x120$!) and have no idea when to book my return ticket now since i have information. Called CIC Vienna, and only an automatic service pretty much saying: don't leave a message as we won't be calling you back...

Just wondering: is anyone else going through Vienna, and if anyone can give me any insight on what's next, how long, etc....

Thanks so much!

i´m still waiting papers arrived to bogota on february letter arrived on March and since there nothing... bu
hopefully something is gonna happend soon.... my visa office is suppose to be one of the slowest on the globe!!!!....

Another update in ECAS for me... Medicals received... no date stated though.

So submitted the docs requested 2 weeks ago yesterday to the Embassy in person.... and just noticed the update... it has been 2 weeks since i last checked it...

I think its a good sign no?? :P

Im hoping too,it was not told to us if they require her four year old to go to.It just said she was required for an interview and to bring her and her sons passport with her.She has to fly to get there as it is at the bottom of Brazil and would take all day and night to drive there. Its like going from here to Nova Scotia.

Thanks danifry! Hopefully ill have it back soon, they got it on monday and one would hope it doesnt take TOO long too fix a typo!
