No problem Inl just hang in there.

I took a look at some of the data in Sparkle's spreadsheet on the Buffalo thread and notice that the Buffalo office was very consistent with the way cases were being processed in 2007 2008. Out of the 18 applicants that were going thru Buffalo in the month of December last year that has received PPR's 2 received PPR in 4 months 1 in 5 months 1 in 6 months and 1 in 7 months. 13 are still waiting.

I would imagine most VO function the same

Here is a quote below from cindy1 on that thread

spiritrac I did a quick search and couldn't find recent information, but I stumbled across a Buffalo profile page dates reflect 07/08 info

Type of Permanent Resident Application
30% of cases finalized in: (3 months)
50% of cases finalized in: (5months)
70% of cases finalized in: (7months)
80% of cases finalized in: (9months)

So I emailed Buffalo...because I just couldn't handle not hearing at all from them...and I got this response just now -

I had F##### file number, but they replied to me this time with a B#### on top.

It seems like they haven't even reviewed my file !~!~??

We don't think anyone should apply ever in December to the London or buffalo office, we certainly seem to have the short straw don't we...

May be its the Christmas and New Year's rush and the holidays, during that time most places that don't operate in the retail business are on skeleton staff then quickly after that comes good Friday and Easter offices are closed again I would imagine that slows down things somewhat, If you think about it The Visa office in Buffalo is closed for all US and Canadian Holidays that means they are closed from Christmas Eve to the day after new Years day no work is done in Buffalo probably its the same in London

I would have hurried my butt up a little if I had known it was going to be like this.
Someone had suggested to me, that logically-there would be less applicants for December so it would be a good time for us to apply.
The reasoning was that most people would not have the cash to afford the fees, as the Holiday season makes everyone broke...lol

I SHOULDNT HAVE LISTENED TO THAT!!! I could have bought my kids an extra couple of gifts, and applied in March instead and gotten PPR already.

grr!

Probably true Trish1982, but you might have settled into the 70 to 80 percentile of cases December had more applicants than March going through buffalo but lets see how February does because February had just as much applicants as December

Keep the faith PPR is coming

Sparkle, that's what my MP rep told me...that we're also in a queue. I was hoping he was wrong :(

A queue it might be but the later applicants seem to have got the fadtctrack queue ::)

I pray the december group hears something this week :) I dont care who or where just someone from our group hearing something would make this process easier.

We have a meeting with my hubby's MP this week, even if they just find out a tiny bit info for us...

Hi Everyone!
I am just checking in...it has been a while. My husband and I have been waiting for 7 months now...We applied back in December...
Our Ecas says they started processing my application May 9th. Unfortunately, we have heard nothing from Buffalo via email or postal mail. I do not have a case number yet.
I joined my husband in Ottawa back in February and was lucky enough to get a Visitors Visa. We thought for sure I would have permanent residency before the Visa expired, but it is not looking so good. We are no longer living at the address in Florida where we sent the outland application. I changed our addressed online 2 months ago, but it is still showing up as the old address on the ECas.

We are traveling to Buffalo next weekend to extend my visitors Visa. Sure wish, I knew what the heck was going on. We submitted an extremely extensive application, and paid all fee's upfront.
Some days I feel like it will never happen.
I will keep everyone posted if anything happens at all.
Good Luck and Take Care to all those separated and still waiting....

Well today is Tuesday. Let see what the good folks at the Visa Offices are cooking up for us December folks today maybe a mixture of PPR's, in Process and Decision Made I certainly would love Christmas in July from the VO's what about you?

Happy Tuesday all

I'm glad some of you can stay positive for the rest of us who are weak :D

Jeff.. I try to stay positive, life is taxing at best I consider fear a very negative emotion so what I learn to do is to hope for the best and prepare for the worst.Someone consider fear to be this

F False
E Evidence
A Appearing
R Real

False evidence appearing real

Think positive even in the midst of this delay and look forward to the time when you will be together, talking about the delays then and the experiences that both of you would have endured would make a good discussions

I have been just so depressed lately with all this taking so damn long :(
I wish they just work on our files now....at least the ones who are almost at the end. I have no hope of having PPR before September now, which is when we complete our 1 year of marriage :(.....
